Who Was Oskar Schindler?
Oskar Schindler is a twentieth century hero remembered for using his power as a factory owner in Poland to save 1,200 of his Jewish employees during WWII. He bravely risked his own life by bribing Nazi offers and falsifying documents to keep his workers safe. Oskar Schindler’s story was made popular by Thomas Keneally’s book Schindler’s Ark and the Academy Award winning film Schindler’s List.
Here’s an Oskar Schindler Signature We Sold:
Document Signed from 1936 — Sold for $20,000
We realized $20,000 for a pre-World War II Oskar Schindler signed document dated 8 February 1936. Documents signed by Schindler are very scarce as he wasn’t a public figure or author during his lifetime. This document is regarding an automobile insurance policy for the Oscar Schindler Co. and insures a 1930 Chrysler automobile. Six page bifolium document measures 8.25 x 11.75 inches and comes with a University Archives COA.

Oskar Schindler autographs and handwritten letters are highly prized by collectors and rarely come to market. Past realized prices can range from a few thousand to over $100,000 depending on the subject matter.
