Typed Letter Signed — Sold for $8,750
We realized $8,750 for a single page Walt Disney letter signed on Disneyland Inc. letterhead. Single page letter is dated 12 January 1959 and awards NY transit Authority Director, Colonel S. H. Bingham, an honorary vice-president’s pass to the Santa Fe & Disneyland railroad and the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail system. Letter is signed “Walt Disney” in his signature loopy style.

Typed Letter Signed From 1938 — $8,125
The proposed “Anti-Block Booking and Blind Selling Bill” of the 1930s was the American government’s attempt at breaking up the monopolistic practices of Hollywood studios. We realized $8,125 for a Walt Disney signed letter to Senator Tom Connally explaining in detail why this proposed legislation would hurt Mickey Mouse short films as well as feature films, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Three page letter is on Walt Disney Productions, Ltd. letterhead and is dated 11 April 1938.

Signed Mickey Mouse Print — Sold for $7,753
We sold a Walt Disney signed print of Mickey Mouse from his 25th anniversary for $7,753. After his debut in Steamboat Willie (1928), Mickey Mouse quickly became a global icon. By 1953 he was the face of Disney and had already appeared in over 100 short films. Framed and matted image measures 14.5 x 15.75 inches. Disney’s large signature measures about 5.5 x 2.5 inches is completed in crayon on lower right.

Signed Check — Sold for $6,655
We sold a Walt Disney signed check from his personal bank account for $6,655. Check is dated 16 January 1963 with Walt Disney-Special Acct made out as the payee. 1963 was a big year for the Disney company and included the production of Mary Poppins, the premiere of The Sword in the Stone and Walt Disney World planning began. Accompanied with a Phil Sears COA.

Signed Reproduction Cel From Snow White and the Seven Dwarves — Sold for $6,500
We realized $6,500 for a Walt Disney signed reproduction cel. Although reproduction cels, or sericels, aren’t used in movie production, they can still be highly collectible. This reproduction cel is from the early 1940s and has a full “Walt Disney” signature on the mat. Reproduction cel measures 10 x 8 inches and is in very good condition.

Signed Alice in Wonderland Dye Transfer Print — Sold for $4,659
Walt Disney signed studio mat holding a dye transfer print of ”Alice in Wonderland”. Disney’s large signature and paraph measures approximately 6.5” x 2.5”, signed upon the cream-colored studio mat in pencil. Lustrous dye transfer prints were sold at The Art Corner Store in Disneyland, and also given out as gifts, though ones signed by Disney are rare. Mat measures approximately 17” x 13.5”, framed to 22” x 18.25”. Minor toning to mat, else near fine condition. Sold for $4,659.

Signed Photo — Sold for $4,610
Rare photo signed by Walt Disney, posing with a bloodhound dog like the character Pluto. Disney signs in black felt-tip, “To Jonathan – All Best / Walt Disney”. Matte photo measures 8″ x 10″. Faint wear, overall near fine condition. With Phil Sears COA. Sold for $4,610.

Signed Mat Holding Transfer Print of Donald Duck — Sold for $4,576
Walt Disney signed studio mat holding a dye transfer print of Donald Duck, part of a limited edition of 100 prints used in advertising for Der Fuehrer’s Face. Disney’s large signature and paraph measure approximately 6.75” x 2”, signed upon the cream-colored studio mat in red pencil. Print measures 11.5” x 9.25”, and mat measures 16” x 15”. Print has some moisture spotting. Light soiling to mat, uniform toning, and bends and chipping to edges. Pinhole at top center. Very good condition. Sold for $4,576.

Signed Mat Showcasing a Bambi Dye Transfer Print — Sold for $4,538
We sold a Walt Disney signed studio mat holding a Bambi dye transfer print for $4,538. The classic film from 1942 was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Sound, Best Song and Original Music Score. Lustrous dye transfer prints were sold at The Art Corner Store in Disneyland, and also given out as gifts. Mat measures 17 x 13.5 inches.
