Vivien Leigh “Gone with the Wind” Signed 8″ x 10″ Photo — Depicting the Famed Actress in Her Role as “Scarlett O’Hara”
Terrific Vivien Leigh as “Scarlett” signed photo, from the celebrated film “Gone With the Wind” in which Leigh received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of southern belle “Scarlett O’Hara.” Black and white photo depicts Leigh on the film’s plantation set, wearing a striking dress, designed by prolific Hollywood costume designer Walter Plunkett. Signed “Vivien Leigh” boldly across white portion of dress. Glossy photo measures 8″ x 10″ and is in near fine condition. Sold for $4,884.
Vivien Leigh Photo Signed as Scarlett O’Hara
Vivien Leigh signed and inscribed photo of herself in costume as legendary ”Gone With The Wind” heroine Scarlett O’Hara. Sepia toned photo bears her autograph inscription to the lower left, ”Adah Whitely / With all good wishes / Vivien Leigh”. Matte photo measures 7.5” x 9.5”. Crease to upper right, light foxing and an irregularly trimmed left edge. Very good. Sold for $2,500.

Very rare ”Gone With the Wind” novel signed by the cast. New York: The MacMillan Co., 1938, later edition. Novel is signed on the front endpapers by the leading cast members: Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland, Leslie Howard, Hattie McDaniel, Ona Munson, Evelyn Keyes, Ann Rutherford, Thomas Mitchell, Carroll Nye, Oscar Polk, and unit manager William J. Scully. Underneath their signatures are the names of their ”Gone With the Wind” characters, written in another hand. Housed in a custom leather clamshell box with five raised bands and gilt lettering to spine, ”Gone With the Wind / Autographed by Twelve Members of Cast”. Book measures 6” x 9”. Toning to signature page, otherwise very good. With PSA/DNA for all actor’s signatures. Sold for $15,000.

Laurence Olivier & Vivien Leigh Signed Photographs
Lot of two photographs signed by Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. The two married in 1940, and their immense talent makes them one of the most highly regarded acting marriages of all time. Each photograph is in the same style and size, with Olivier signing ”Best Wishes / Laurence Olivier” and Leigh signing ”With Best Wishes / Vivien Leigh”. Both photographs measure 4.5” x 6.5”. Small closed tear on Olivier photograph. Very good. Sold for $500.

Vivien Leigh Responds to Fan Mail
Actress Vivien Leigh typed letter signed to a fan. The ”Gone With The Wind” star writes on Hotel Dorset, New York stationery: ”Dear Mr. Levine, I return to you the pieces of paper you have asked me to sign for your autograph book, and also a picture which I hope you will like. With best wishes. Yours sincerely, [signed] Vivien Leigh”. Single page 5.5” x 8.5” letter is dated 26 November 1962. Creasing, else near fine condition. Accompanied by 8” x 10” photo of Leigh. Sold for $364.
