Life Vest Worn Onscreen in the 1997 Epic ”Titanic”
Screen-worn life vest from ”Titanic”. Canvas vest was worn in filming the 1997 shipwreck blockbuster, which was directed by James Cameron and became the highest-grossing film of all time. Measures 16” across and 27” long. Professionally mounted in a custom shadow box to an overall size of 24.5” x 40.5”. Near fine, with some distress from production. With a COA from 20th Century Fox. Sold for $866.
Kate Winslet screen-worn dress coat from ”Titanic”. James Cameron directed Winslet in the 1997 blockbuster, in which she starred as the wealthy Rose DeWitt Bukater, star-crossed lover to Leonardo DiCaprio’s working class character Jack. Winslet is dressed in the pink coat during the scenes when the ship begins to sink. Staining to lower portion of silk lining due to this partial submergence during filming, else near fine. Extensive provenance includes a two year paid exhibition in a Titanic museum and write-up in the USA Today newspaper. Also with a COA from Twentieth-Century Fox, indicating that this coat was worn by Kate Winslet ”on deck during sinking scenes”, as well as an LOA from Salvador Perez, the Costume Manufacturing Foreman on ”Titanic,” confirming that this coat was screen-worn by Winslet in the film. A beautiful wardrobe piece from one of the most important sequences in ”Titanic,” the second highest grossing film of all time. Sold for $164,520.

Leonardo DiCaprio Signature Wardrobe from the 1997 Epic “Titanic” — Corduroy Trousers & Knit Shirt
Wardrobe made for Leonardo DiCaprio’s character the 1997 epic “Titanic”. Two-piece ensemble comprises (1) an oversize putty color long-sleeved cotton shirt with a bib detail of tan striped fabric. Measures 24″ across the chest. Light pilling, else near fine. (2) bronze corduroy trousers made by Dominic Gherardi, custom tailor for the movie, labeled “Leonardo DiC / Jack #2”. Trousers close with a button fly and waistband features buttons for suspenders. “Leonardo” label has detached from tailor’s label, else near fine. Costume has the original Fox Studio hang tags. Model ”RMS Titanic” used by the visual effects department on the 1997 epic romance film ”Titanic”. Lightweight model of the doomed ship is quite detailed, including windows, portholes, smoke stacks and other fixtures and texture. Model is a uniform grey in color, painted black over the area where the ship broke in two upon its sinking. Visual effects was among the 11 Academy Awards ”Titanic” garnered. Accompanied by a wooden board painted blue for display. The actual ocean liner measured 882’9” in length and 92’6” in breadth. Model measures 30.25” x 3.5” and 6” tall from the bottom to top of the smoke stacks. Near fine. With a COA from Screen Used Movie Props. Sold for $3,845.

Menu from Ill-Fated R.M.S. Lusitania — Also With 3 Tix
Menu from R.M.S. Lusitania, dated 9 October 1913, two years before German U-boats sank the British ship off the coast of Ireland. The sinking of the Cunard liner helped turn public opinion against Germany and influenced America’s entry into World War I. Menu for the second cabin meal measures 5″ x 7.75″ and is accompanied by a D Deck seating ticket and two deck chair tickets. Items are matted to an overall size of 9″ x 18.25″. Minor creasing and damp-staining to menu, else very good. Sold for $934.
