1887 Theodor Herzl Rare Book Signed
“Neues von Venus” by Theodor Herzl. Leipzig: Berlag von F. Frund: 1887. German language rare book written by Herzl features eighteen short stories. Front free end page contains inscription by Hertz which reads [translated] “To my friend Wilhelm Neumann, for remembrance / Theordor Herzl.” Interior pages shows slight toning throughout. First page contains triangular cut to corner of page. Overall excellent condition. Sold for $3,050.
Theodore Herzl Autograph Note Signed — Rare
Father of modern Zionism, Theodore Herzl autograph note signed. German note written in blue pencil is dated 11 November 1903 from Vienna. In part, ”Mr. Reich / Turken street 9…the bearer Mrs. Horowitz I would like to give 20 Kronen / Herzl.” Note measures 5.75” x 4.25”. Ink note on verso written by Helene Horowitz partially bleeds through. Small tear to center of page and two binder holes present along left margin. Overall very good condition. Sold for $624.

Golda Meir Autograph Note Signed Upon a Postcard to Palestine
Golda Meir autograph note signed upon a postcard, sent by Meir to someone in Palestine. Her note, in Hebrew, appears on the back of a postcard from Cairo, Egypt. The postmark is from Alexandria (date uncertain). Measures 6” x 2.75”. Toning with a punched hole below the stamp, else near fine. An impressive price for this piece of Judaica memorabilia. Sold for $4,654.
David Ben-Gurion Signed Limited Edition of ”Israel: A Personal History”
David Ben-Gurion signed limited edition of ”Israel: A Personal History”, his 862pp. tribute to the country he founded and led as its first Prime Minister. New York: Funk and Wagnalls Inc., 1971. Ben-Gurion signs ”D. Ben-Gurion” below his frontispiece portrait. Volume is #473 of 2,000 in the limited edition, beautifully bound in navy leather boards with top edge gilt and silk moire endpapers. Measures 7.25” x 10.25”. Separation starting to front joint, light foxing throughout and light wear. Overall very good condition. Sold for $3,661.
