Rare copy of the Beauregard Junior High School yearbook from 1955, signed two times by its graduate, Lee Harvey Oswald. Yearbook for the New Orleans school belonged to James Pritchett, one of Oswald’s classmates. Oswald signs in two places: “Lee Oswald” underneath his printed name on page 23, and “Lee Oswald” on the back cover, both in blue ballpoint. Lot also includes Pritchett’s graduation cap, signed by nearly all the students including Oswald, who signs “Lee Oswald” in green ballpoint along one of the edges, next to a staple. Yearbook measures 6″ x 9″. Two center pages detached from staple, and overall light wear with a few moisture spots to covers. Very good condition. Cloth cap measures 11.125″ square. Some toning and fading to signatures, overall very good. With University Archives COAs for all three signatures. Sold for $7,311.

Madonna’s 1972 Junior High Yearbook With Period Inscription by Her — “Dear Nancy, I hope you have fun at Adams and all the years to come. Madonna ’76′”
Scarce Madonna signed 1971-1972 yearbook from West Junior High School in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Featuring a black and white yearbook photo of Madonna as a 14 year-old appearing on page 7 with her real name, Madonna Ciccone, printed. Signed and inscribed in blue ink on the back cover by the queen of pop, “Dear Nancy, I hope you have fun at Adams [local MI high school] and all the years to come, Madonna ’76′”. Softcover book measures 8.5″ x 11″. Front cover is nearly detached at spine with separation to rear cover at spine. Only a handful of other inscriptions in book. Toning and staining to rear cover, else very good condition. Very rare with its 1970’s inscription. Sold for $2,682.

Metallica James Hetfield Signed High School Yearbook
James Alan Hetfield (born August 3, 1963) is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the co-founder, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and primary songwriter for heavy metal band Metallica. He is mainly known for his intricate rhythm playing, but occasionally performs lead guitar duties and solos, both live and in the studio. Hetfield co-founded Metallica in October 1981 after answering an advertisement by drummer Lars Ulrich in the Los Angeles newspaper The Recycler. Metallica has won nine Grammy Awards and released ten studio albums, three live albums, four extended plays and 24 singles.
James Hetfield, Metallica’s lead singer, signed inscription in the senior high school yearbook of Metallica bass player Ron McGovney. Hetfield’s lengthy note reads in part, “…I know ‘The Charm’ will happen…Too bad you can’t go to Ozzy…that party…will be a cranker, especially with ‘Leather Charm’ playing…Your heavy metal friend…” Also included is a numbered list of popular rock musicians in pencil on a sheet of loose leaf paper appearing to be in Hetfield’s hand. 1981 yearbook has student signatures, else near fine. Sold for $1,930.

New York Mets Signed 1962 Yearbook — 50 Sigs — JSA
New York Mets Official 1962 Yearbook, their inaugural year in the National League, with more than 50 team signatures. Most signatures are on the front cover of the 8.5″ x 11″ book; many other players sign their bio pages and some sign twice. Hall of Fame manager Casey Stengel, the “ole Perfesser,” signs in pencil on his bio. HOF outfielder Richie Ashburn signs the cover and again on the photo of Flushing Meadows Stadium, the new home for the Mets 1963 season. First baseman Gil Hodges signs the photo on his bio page. Other key players Clem Labine, Don Zimmer and Joe Pignatano add their autographs to the front cover. The yearbook runs 48pp. with the content of some pages, including 7/8, 19, 23/24 and 41, duplicated. Light wear to cover with minor soiling and tape residue to interior pages and partial separation of center pages at staple binding. Overall very good. With JSA COA. Sold for $1,850.


Steve Jobs High School Yearbook From his Senior Year
1972 “Pegasus” Yearbook from Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, featuring Apple co-founder Steve Jobs with long hair in his senior year. Cris Ann Brennan, the mother of his first child can also be found here along with Bill Fernandez, who introduced Jobs to Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak. Measures 8.5″ x 11.25″. Front interior hinge is totally separated and rear interior hinge is beginning to separate. Soiling to boards and standard signatures inside. Good. Sold for $1,169.

Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Lew Alcindor Signed HS Yearbook
1965 yearbook from New York catholic high school Power Memorial Academy, signed clearly by senior Lew Alcindor, who of course later renamed himself Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He signs “Lew Alcindor” boldly in blue ink over his senior photo. The yearbook also features seven photos of Alcindor and the basketball team, including action shots that portend his soon-to-be-famous “skyhook.” Additionally, Alcindor’s mom is featured on the Mom’s Club page and there’s a funny caption on page eight under a photo of the principal talking to a teacher on the bleachers. It reads: “‘How about Alcindor Memorial Academy…Huh?'”, alluding to the fact that Alcindor carried his high school team to three straight championships, giving the school an excellent national reputation for basketball. He followed that with three National Championship-winning seasons playing for UCLA and a incredible NBA career during which he became the NBA’s all-time highest scorer. This remarkable piece of early Abdul-Jabbar memorabilia measures 9″ x 12.25″ and runs 172pp. Signed throughout by classmates of the original owner, whose name is written on the front free endpaper. Minimal toning to pages, else fine. Sold for $1,011.
