Ten Commandments Memorabilia
In late 2013, we at NateDSanders.com were lucky enough to offer the rare movie prop of Ten Commandments memorabilia used in the 1956 film. The value on these can be $30,000 and up. Here is the description and picture:
The Ten Commandments Memorabilia Being a Prop From The Film “The Ten Commandments”, Directed by Cecil B. DeMille — Held by Charleton Heston in His Iconic Role as Moses — With Still Photos From On-Set
The quintessential prop from 1956 epic, “The Ten Commandments” — the commandments themselves. Pair of solid wooden and plaster tablets are crafted to mimic the appearance of stone onscreen. Plaster-coated boards are textured, painted and and carved with lines of characters. Surprisingly, one tablet contains 7 lines of text and the other contains 8. Tablets each measure 12″ across and 23.25″ in height from base to tip of the arched tops. Versos are unfinished. Tablets are each protected in a cover of thick black fleece. Rare saved piece of Ten Commandments memorabilia. Fine.
