Here is a Stanley Kubrick signed letter we have sold in the past:
Stanley Kubrick 1970 Typed Letter Signed 2001 Director
Stanley Kubrick (July 26, 1928 – March 7, 1999) was an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and photographer. He is frequently cited as one of the greatest filmmakers in cinematic history. His films, which are mostly adaptations of novels or short stories, cover a wide range of genres and are noted for their realism, dark humor, unique cinematography, extensive set designs, and evocative use of music.
Stanley Kubrick typed letter signed, dated 14 June 1970. Here, Kubrick writes to “New Yorker” journalist Jeremy Bernstein, who profiled the director for the magazine and the two remained friends. Reads in full: “Thank you very much for having a copy of ‘The Wildest Dreams of Kew’ sent to me. I certainly enjoyed reading the book, though I must confess I would still not like to do it myself. I should hope that from the acknowledgment, I will receive several free lightmeters.” Signed “Stanley” in bright red ink. Letter on one page measures 7.25″ x 10.5″. Two folds, else near fine. Sold for $789.
