Shirley Temple Owned Script From The Little Colonel
Shirley Temple owned white leather bound script from the 1935 film “The Little Colonel” where she played “Lloyd Sherman”. The 96 page hand-typed script includes 2 watercolor paintings attached to inside of front and back covers. First painting depicts exterior of plantation house and second depicts staircase inside foyer. Both are signed “HB. 35”. Comes with vintage photograph of Shirley and co-star Lionel Barrymore in full costume on page opposite title page. “SHIRLEY TEMPLE / THE LITTLE COLONEL / 1934″ is written on the spine in gold lettering. Measures 9″ x 11”, with top edge gilt. Entire piece in near fine condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate. Sold for $3,500.
Shirley Temple Owned Script From Baby Take a Bow
Shirley Temple’s personally owned white leather-bound script from one of her earliest films, 1934’s “Baby Take a Bow”, where she starred as the eponymous character “Shirley”. The 100 page hand-typed script includes two watercolor paintings attached to the front and rear pastedowns. Both paintings depict a silver teapot and a string of lavender pears, with the second one signed “HB. 35”. A vintage photograph of Shirley standing on a table during a large party scene is affixed to page opposite title page. Engraved on the five-band spine in gold lettering are the words, “SHIRLEY TEMPLE / BABY TAKE A BOW / 1934”. Measures 9″ x 11″, with top edge gilt. Near fine condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate. Sold for $3,000.
