Shirley Temple Estate: Her Very-Own Monogrammed Accordion

Shirley Temple owned wooden accordion with sparkling green and gold finish. The 12-key accordion has decorative diamonds and was a gift from Anna Galizi, a 5 year-old girl whose father handcrafted the accordion himself. The instrument is monogrammed on both sides of the bellows, with “Shirley” in cursive above treble keyboard and “E. Galizi Bro” in block letters in front of the bass buttons. Includes original leather strap with tan felt lining. Comes with vintage photograph of Shirley playing the accordion, and the original Western Union telegram from Anna Galizi sent on 23 April 1935 which reads: “KINDEST WISHES FOR A HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANY THANKS FOR YOUR PHOTOGRAPH / ANNA GALIZI.” Accordion measures 10″ x 10.5″ when compact and weighs 6 lbs. 4 oz. Some fading to color, grill case is peeling slightly at the edges, but in overall near fine condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate. Sold for $5,250.
