Remembering Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth is one of the most famous names in baseball history. He’s remembered for his power hitting prowess which transformed the game of baseball from the slow scoring dead-ball era to the live-ball era. In addition to holding the world record for most career home runs, with 714 home runs, he also achieved the most home runs in a single season (60) and was the first player to do so. In 2018 Ruth was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We’ve sold a array of sports memorabilia at Nate D. Sanders Auctions. Please feel free to reach out to us if you’d like to sell your Babe Ruth autograph.
Here are some Babe Ruth autograph items that are popular with collectors:
Babe Ruth Muti-Signed Baseball
Realized prices of signed baseballs can greatly vary based on condition, grade of autograph and provenance. A multi-signature ball from Babe Ruth and other Yankees teammates could be worth $25,000 or greater.
At Nate D. Sanders Auctions we sold an Official National League baseball signed by Yankees players Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Lefty Gomez. The ball was signed in 1934 or earlier as it features a printed signature of National League President John Heydler.

Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball
Babe Ruth is remembered for being very friendly with fans and for signing many autographs, particularly a large amount of baseballs. However, his signed items still remain very valuable despite the large volume of them. Depending on condition, grade of autograph and provenance, a Babe Ruth single signed baseball could sell for $35,000 or more.
Below are two Babe Ruth single signed baseballs we sold. One has all red stitching and the other has interchanging red and blue stitching.

Babe Ruth Signed Baseball Bat
Babe Ruth used Louisville Slugger bats during his career and later endorsed the bats which helped them grow in popularity among fans and players alike. We sold a Babe Ruth signed Louisville Slugger bat pictured below.
A Babe Ruth signed bat can fetch up to $25,000. If game used the realized price can be many times greater.

Babe Ruth Signed Photo
A photo signed by Babe Ruth alone is somewhat rare as many vintage baseball team photos were signed by several players. Value can depend on condition, autograph placement, authentication grade and the pose/image. Items can garner between $5,000 and $15,000+.
Here are some Babe Ruth signed photos we’ve sold:

Babe Ruth Signed Book
Babe Ruth authored several books, including his first title, Babe Ruth’s Own Book of Baseball (1928). We sold a signed copy of The Babe Ruth Story, the 1948 book written by Bob Considine as told by the legend himself. The book was released in tandem with the film of the same title, where Babe Ruth portrays himself.
Signed books can sell between $4,000 and $15,000+.

Babe Ruth Autograph Card or Page
We sold a Babe Ruth signature on the reverse of a Hallmark card. Similar items include a cut signature or Babe Ruth’s autograph on an index card or album sheet.
Depending on the grade of your Babe Ruth autograph page, items could garner up to about $12,000.

Babe Ruth Signed Check
We sold a Babe Ruth twice-signed check to himself, made out to “cash” for $50.00. Check is dated 1 August 1935 shortly after his final game. Front of check is signed “GH Ruth” and reverse is also endorsed “GH Ruth”. Slabbed by PSA/ DNA and graded Mint 9.
Dual signed checks can fetch as much as $12,000, while a single signed check could be worth $5,000 or more.
