The Legacy of Steve Jobs
Tech industry pioneer Steve Jobs is remembered for some of the most innovative products of the past 45 + years. He helped create and promote the personal computers Apple I and Apple II during the 1970s and during his second stint with Apple created revolutionary products including the iPod, iPhone, iPad and MacBook and ensured they were as user friendly as possible. In the mid 1980s Jobs also co-founded the production studio Pixar, which has released some of the most beloved and highest grossing films ever. Jobs’ vision integrated technology and design to create products that reconstructed several industries.

Signed Pixar Poster – Sold for $31,250
Following Steve Jobs’s first run at Apple and creating NeXT, he co-founded Pixar Studios in 1986 and served as the CEO until it was acquired by Disney in 2006. We realized $31,250 for a Steve Jobs signed Pixar posters featuring Woody and Buzz Lightyear of the “Toy Story” franchise.

Signed Check – Sold for $20,000
We realized $20,000 for a Steve Jobs signed check dated 11 March 1988 that was made out to his then girlfriend Tina Redse. Jobs’s phone number and Los Gatos address are listed a the top of check. At this time Jobs was developing the launch of NeXt and would soon form a partnership with IBM that entailed running NeXT software on IBM systems.

Signed “Fortune” Magazine Cover – Sold for $16,638
We sold a Steve Jobs signed cover of “Fortune” magazine dated 9 October 1989 for $16,638. The cover is signed for Terry, one of Jobs’s chauffeur drivers. At this time NeXt had recently launched and was just about to reveal its NeXTcube workstation that would sell between 1990 and 1993.

Signed NeXT Computer Poster – Sold for $12,974
We realized $12,974 for a Steve Jobs signed NeXT poster from the invitation-only NeXT Introduction on 12 October 1988. Jobs founded NeXT in 1985 along with five former Apple employees and would release several workstations, including the NeXT Computer System, NeXTcube and NeXTcube Turbo, until 1997 when Apple acquired the company for $427 million.

Prospectus for Apple Computer’s IPO – Sold for $5,470
We sold an original prospectus for Apple’s initial public offering published in December 1980 for $5,470. This softcover leaflet is 47 pages long with the cover page stating that the common stock shares are priced at $22 each, with 4,600,000 available.
