Princess Diana Autograph Letter Signed From 1989

Diana, Princess of Wales (born Diana Frances Spencer; 1 July 1961 – 31 August 1997) was a member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales—the heir apparent to the British throne—and mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Diana’s activism and glamour made her an international icon and earned her enduring popularity as well as unprecedented public scrutiny, exacerbated by her tumultuous private life. Her legacy has had a deep impact on the royal family and British society.

Princess Diana autograph letter signed, dated 30 August 1989 on Balmoral Castle stationery, the royal family’s Scotland retreat. Diana writes to her friend Janet, in full, “Dearest Janet, I thought that the enclosed might amuse you, for the lady who does all the cooking! / Am very much looking forward to seeing you next week and until then, Lots of love, from, Diana”. Single page measures 7.25″ x 9.25″. Inconspicuous abrasion to lower right of paper and some creasing, overall in very good condition with bold handwriting by Diana. Sold for $1,800.
