Prince R Nelson Signed Contract for a 1991 Concert

Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016), known simply as Prince, or , was an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor, and director. Regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation, he worked across multiple genres and often played most or all instruments on recordings. He was known for his flamboyant and androgynous persona, with a wide vocal range which included a far-reaching falsetto and high-pitched screams.

Prince signed contract to perform at the “Rock in Rio II” concert in 1991 for a fee of $500,000. Executed shortly before he changed his name to a symbol, Prince boldly signs this contract with his legal name, Prince Rogers Nelson, as “Prince R. Nelson” in black felt-tip. Two page contract on two sheets, stapled at top left, measures 8.5″ x 11″. Staple punctures and fold at top left, else near fine. With Roger Epperson COA. Sold for $3,000.
