Check Written to Prince With Full ”Prince Nelson” Endorsement Signature — One of a Kind
Check written to Prince by Owen Husney, the man who discovered and formerly managed Prince. Dated 15 July 1977, Prince signs his full name in blue ink to verso, ”Prince Nelson”. Written for $100, Husney was supporting the now-legendary musician, covering his day to day living expenses prior to signing with Warner Bros. Measures 6” x 2.75”. Bank stamps not affecting signature, else near fine condition. With an LOA from Owen Husney. Five percent of net proceeds on this item will go to the charity Our House LA’s Camp Erin for Grieving Children. Sold for $3,328.
Prince signed contract to perform at the ”Rock in Rio II” concert in 1991 for a fee of $500,000. Executed shortly before he changed his name to a symbol, Prince boldly signs this contract with his legal name, Prince Rogers Nelson, as ”P.R. Nelson” in black felt-tip. Three page contract on three sheets, stapled at top left, measures 8.5” x 11”. Staple punctures and fold at top left, else near fine. With Roger Epperson COA.
