Supremely rare presidential paycheck endorsed by payee, President Calvin Coolidge. Paycheck dated 31 October 1925 from Washington, D.C. is printed, “Treasurer of the United States / Pay Six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ### Dollars / $6,250.00 / To The Order of Calvin Coolidge President of the United States / The White House / Washington DC.” Endorsement signature reads: “Deposit / Calvin Coolidge”. Interestingly, Coolidge’s annual salary as President was $75,000, payable in a monthly check of $6,250. Printed check measures 8.5″ x 3.25″ with small cancellation holes affecting the word “Deposit,” but not the Presidential signature. Very good condition. Sold for $3,670.

Calvin Coolidge signed booklet of his speech delivered to Congress on 6 December 1923, the ”Annual Message of the President of the United States.” Published by the Government Printing Office: Washington: 1923. 14pp. booklet measuring 5.75” x 9.25” is signed ”Calvin Coolidge” on the last page in exceptionally large script, measuring 4” x 2” itself. Topics covered in the address include ”Debts” ($7.2 billion at the time), ”Prohibition,” ”The Negro” (referring to the ”hideous crime of lynching”) and several more. In very good condition. Sold for $1,220.
Calvin Coolidge Signed First Edition of His Autobiography
Calvin Coolidge signed first edition of ”The Autobiography of Calvin Coolidge” published by Cosmopolitan Book Corporation: New York: 1929. He inscribes the fly-leaf in black ink: ”To Benjamin F. Felt, With Regards, Calvin Coolidge”. The 30th President took office when then-President Warren G. Harding passed away, and his moving account of his father informing him of the succession is revealed in this 247pp. volume. Bound in forest green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Bumping to board corners and wear to spine ends, else near fine. Sold for $832.
