Original Disneyland park poster for Pirates of the Caribbean, the popular attraction that borne a film franchise (Disneyland, 1967). Hand-pulled silk-screen has unfortunately been trimmed along lower edge, measuring 36” by approximately 31.5”. Additional long closed tear at top, with archival tape repair on verso. Poor condition.

Original Disneyland park poster for the Grand Canyon Diorama attraction, advertised as the ”Largest in the World” (Disneyland, 1958). Hand-pulled silk-screen from 1958 features the Fantasyland depot along bottom, which was removed from the poster design in 1962. Gorgeous poster in purple, teal and beige colors is rich in depth, designed by artist Paul Hartley. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and a few closed tears repaired on verso. Original Disneyland park poster for Flight to the Moon, the Tomorrowland attraction which replaced Rocket to the Moon (Disneyland, 1967). In keeping with the redesign by artist Ken Chapman, emphasis was put on the moon itself, rather than the rocket. Hand-pulled silk-screen retains exceptional vibrant colors of navy blue, turquoise, red and white, with the sky seguing to black at top. Measures 36” x 54”. 1959 Walt Disney Signed Railroad & Monorail Pass Awarded to Col. Bingham
A Walt Disney signed Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad and Monorail pass. Measuring 3.75″ x 2.5″, Anaheim, California, n.d. [ca. 1959]. Signed “Walt Disney” in his signature loopy style, and made out to Colonel S. H. Bingham. The pass, No. 004, awards the user free access to both the Santa Fe & Disneyland railroad and the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail system as “an honorary Vice-President of the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad” for a period of five years. The front is decorated with an image of a classic coal or steam-powered train, while the back is decorated with the modern monorail system, described as “swift silent transportation of the future.” On verso are also directions on how to use the pass for complimentary service. With light staining on the front. Large, bold signature. Very fine. Sold for $24,750.
Disney Original Concept Painting From 1964 for “It’s a Small World” by Mary Blair — Measures 20″ x 15″
“It’s a Small World” original concept painting, created in 1964 for Walt Disney by Mary Blair, a “Disney Legend” who designed concept art for “Cinderella”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Peter Pan”. Originally a pavilion at the 1964 World’s Fair, “It’s a Small World” captured the attention of Walt Disney, who commissioned Mary Blair to adapt it into a ride at Disneyland. Her subsequent artwork is presented here — a gorgeous 1960s inspired castle-themed piece in colors of pink, green and gold against a contrasting black background. The entrance to the ride is clearly evident in the artwork, referencing Blair’s mod-castle aesthetic with soft colors. Board measures 20″ x 15″. Light edge wear and pinholes at corners, otherwise near fine. Beautiful, large concept art for the iconic Disney attraction. Sold for $15,332.
Very rare Walt Disney signed Disneyland ”driver’s license” for the Richfield Autopia, one of the original Disneyland attractions. Pass is from 1955, Disneyland’s inaugural year. Signed on the verso, ”Walt Disney” in black ballpoint without inscription. Card is filled out by recipient, a 10 year-old boy in 1955. Measures 3.875” x 2.375”. Minor age wear and ding along edge, overall very good condition. With Phil Sears COA. Sold for $12,500.

Walt Disney signed Disneyland Gold Pass issued to California Governor Edmund G. “Pat” Brown in 1963. Signed “Walt Disney” in blue ink. Card reads: “Gold Pass / Admit The Honorable Edmund G. Brown / and party of 5 to Disneyland / 1963 / Walt Disney.” 2.5″ x 4″ on card stock. Excellent condition. Sold for $3,654.

Walt Disney signed copy of ”Walt Disney’s Guide to Disneyland”, published in 1962. Disney’s large autograph in black ink measures approximately 5.5” x 3”, signed on the inside front cover of the book, which spans 27 pages. Softcover book measures 11.5” x 8”. Near fine condition. Sold for $2,723.
Disneyland Ticket for Opening Day Festivities on 17 July 1955
Disneyland ticket to its opening day on 17 July 1955. “Invitational Press Preview and Dedication of Disneyland” ticket features a rendering of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle on the front, with the text “Admit One”, on the day of Sunday, July 17, 1955 at 2:30 pm. Verso shows a map of Anaheim and the surrounding area, with information regarding the ABC telecast of the opening. Metallic silver ticket measures 6.5″ x 3.5″. Light wear, overall very good plus condition. Sold for $1,954.
Attractive conceptual drawing created for the 2000 renovation of the famous Disneyland ride, ”Pirates of the Caribbean”. Originally opened in 1967, the ride had a major overhaul in 2006, as characters from the ”Pirates of the Caribbean” film series began to be incorporated into the ride. Drawing is done in ink on rice paper by artist Michael Hobson and depicts a pirate ship at center, surrounded by pirates pillaging a town on one side and Disneyland park-goers filling up ships for the ride on the other. Measures 17” x 14”. Tape residue to edges, else near fine. Sold for $625.
