White matte RIAA award features a gold vinyl record above the album’s cover art and a plaque reading ”PRESENTED TO / RICHARD WRIGHT / TO COMMEMORATE THE SALE OF MORE THAN / ONE MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF THE / HARVEST RECORDS / LONG-PLAYING RECORD ALBUM / ‘THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON”’. Award is in original frame, with RIAA framer, New York Frame & Picture Co. label on paper backing. Measures 17.75” x 21.5”. Pink Floyd Christmas card, signed by Richard Wright, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and David Gilmour. Card reads, “Christmas Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year from” to which the band sign their first names, indicating familiarity with the recipient. Ostensibly signed in 1968 shortly after Waters and Gimour joined the band, as noted by accompanying card stamped “The Pink Floyd” and hand-dated 1968. Single page measures 5″ x 3.5″. Mounting remnants and PSA sticker to verso, also accompanied by full PSA/DNA COA for all four signatures. Very good to near fine condition. Sold for $1,200.

Framed presentation includes gold record, gold cassette and gold plaque reading, ”Presented to David Gilmour / To Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 Copies of the Columbia Records Album and Cassette / ‘A Momentary Lapse in Reason”’. David Crosby’s Own Gibson ES-335 Guitar — From His Days in “The Byrds”
David Crosby’s personally owned and played Gibson guitar, used by Crosby in “The Byrds,” one of the most influential bands of the 1960’s. Crosby’s role in “The Byrds” from the iconic group’s formation in 1964 until his departure in 1967 garnered him his first of two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Guitar is the widely recognized Gibson ES-335, with a Bigsby Vibrato tailpiece tremolo. Dating to 1958, this model was the first electric guitar to introduce the semi-hollow body design. Neck is one-piece mahogany beneath a rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Measures 16.5″ wide, 20″ long, and 1.75″ deep. Housed in a black hardshell case lined in orange velvet. Scattered nicks and bumping to top of headstock, else near fine. With an LOA from David Crosby. Sold for $25,428.

Fender Swinger guitar, personally owned by John Entwistle of The Who from 1969 when the band released their classic rock opera ”Tommy”. The Fender Swinger guitar is one of the rarest production guitars, with only 250 to 300 made and less than 30 in this Lake Placid Blue finish, aged to a deep green. Guitar shows serial #264153 on its neckplate, matching the guitar in John Entwistle’s book ”Bass Culture: The John Entwistle Bass Collection”, where it’s featured on page 56; copy of the book is included. Also included are two lot tags and lotting sticker from Sotheby’s where the guitar sold on 13 May 2003 as lot 191 in John Entwistle’s estate sale, ”The John Entwistle Collection”. Some nicks and chipping to body of guitar, as expected from use, overall very good condition. In Fender hardshell case measuring 41” x 14”, which has an old Continental Airlines tag tucked inside. A scarce guitar by one of the greatest rock ‘n roll bassists. Sold for $7,500.
