Pearl Jam was formed in 1990 in Seattle Washington and were one of the main bands of the grunge movement. Founding members consisted of Jeff Ament,Stone Gossard Mike McCreadyand Eddie Vedder. They are one of the highest-selling rock bands of all time and as of 2018 have sold 85 million records. Pearl Jam has released 11 studio albums and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Grammy award won by the legendary rock group at the height of their popularity in 1995. The award was won for best hard rock performance for the song ”Spin The Black Circle”, which appeared on the highly praised album ”Vitalogy” in 1994. In one of the most classic Grammy acceptance speeches of all time, frontman Eddie Vedder accepts the award and says, ”I don’t know what this means. I don’t think it means anything.” This remains the only Grammy award the group has ever won, and statue is one of five, as each band member received one. The heavy black and gold statue sits on a black metal base with a black felt bottom, with a plaque affixed to the front reading, ”National Academy Of Recording Arts & Sciences / Pearl Jam / Best Hard Rock Performance – 1995 / ‘Spin The Black Circle’ (Track)”. Affixed to the top of the base is the traditional gold plated metal representation of a gramophone associated with the iconic award ceremony. Weighs 4 lbs. 4 oz. Measures 6” x 6” x 9”. American Music Award presented to drummer Dave Abbruzzese of Pearl Jam in 1996 at the height of their fame. The band was a cornerstone of the 1990’s rock resurgence, and was recognized with this award in the category of Heavy Metal/Hard Rock. Award reads, ”Favorite Artist / Heavy Metal/Hard Rock / Pearl Jam / 1996”. Pearl Jam won the award for their third album, ”Vitalogy,” which contains their hits ”Better Man,” ”Last Exit” and ”Bugs” and has sold over five million copies in America despite the fact that the band refused to make any videos for its songs. Pearl Jam also won ”Favorite Alternative Artist” in 1996, essentially sweeping their categories at the AMAs. Unlike the Grammys, which are determined by music industry insiders, the American Music Awards are based on record sales, airplay and video viewing. For this reason, it’s even more spectacular that Pearl Jam won considering they didn’t release videos or tour for this record. Though not playing with the band in 1996, drummer Dave Abbruzzese received this award as he played on ”Vitalogy.” Pyramid shaped lucite award measures 14” in total height on a 4.75” x 4.75” square base. Near fine. With LOA from individual to whom Abbruzzese sold the award. Sold for $14,351.
MTV Music Award For Video of The Year to Pearl Jam For ”Jeremy” in 1993
1993 MTV ”Moonman” Video Music Award for Best Video of the Year for Pearl Jam’s ”Jeremy”. Mark Pellington directed the video for the iconic grunge band’s controversial and prophetic song about a high school student who shoots himself in class. In addition to this, the most prestigious category, ”Jeremy” won Best Group Video, Best Metal/Hard Rock Video and Best Direction. Trophy by Manhattan Design is a sculpture-in-the-round, patterned after the channel’s iconic Moonman bumper that aired at the top of the hour. Moonman’s flag displays an MTV logo, perched upon the pole that twirls freely in his hand. Engraved plaque on the base reads, ”Best Video of the Year / 1993 / Pearl Jam / ”Jeremy” / Dave Abbruzzese”. Dave Abbruzzese is Pearl Jam’s drummer. Award measures 11.5” in total height. Base diameter measures 5”. Weighs 5 pounds, 6 ounces. Slight warping to flag pole and some overall tarnishing, else near fine. Sold for $12,353.
