My aunt Lois Austin and her husband Charlie Barton were both in the film world in Hollywood and they knew Lucille Ball and her husband Desi Arnaz quite well and fondly. My aunt Lois was in a picture with Lucille Ball called The Fullerbrush Girl, at which time she was given this necklace by Miss Ball. My aunt recalled Miss Ball saying that she had bought it while on vacation and that she did not care how it made noise when she wore it.
