Lethal Weapon 3 is a 1992 American action comedy film directed by Richard Donner and written by Jeffrey Boam and Robert Mark Kamen. The sequel to Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), it is the third installment in the Lethal Weapon film series and stars Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Rene Russo, and Stuart Wilson.

Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson AO (born January 3, 1956) is an American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his action hero roles, particularly his breakout role as Max Rockatansky in the first three films of the post-apocalyptic action series Mad Max and as Martin Riggs in the buddy cop film series Lethal Weapon.

Mel Gibson’s Braveheart Prop Weapon — Used in Onscreen Slayings of English Soldiers

Mel Gibson’s prop weapon from the Academy Award-winning 1995 historical film ”Braveheart.” Gibson directed and starred as William Wallace in the 13th century drama, which was loosely based on the Scottish War of Independence from King Edward I’s England. Gibson as Wallace slayed a handful of English soldiers with this piece during the war epic’s first battle scene. ”Braveheart” won Best Picture and Gibson won Best Director at the 1996 Oscars. Features silver-painted rubber affixed to a wooden handle. Measures 25” tall x 10.25” across at the widest point. Near fine. With provenance from Profiles in History. Sold for $2,520.

”Braveheart” Prop Shield Seen in Onscreen Battles in the 1995 Best Picture Epic

Prop shield from the Academy Award-winning 1995 historical war epic ”Braveheart.” Mel Gibson directed and starred as William Wallace in the 13th century drama, which was loosely based on the Scottish War of Independence from King Edward I’s England. The Icon Productions & Paramount production won Best Picture and Gibson won Best Director at the 1996 Oscars. Round shield is made of wood with a convex distressed metal piece at center. Handle on the back is wrapped in black leather. Measures 24” in diameter. Near fine. With provenance from Profiles in History. Sold for $1,720.

Mel Gibson Screen-Worn Suit From the 2011 Drama ”The Beaver” 

Mel Gibson screen-worn suit from the 2011 drama ”The Beaver”, directed by Jodie Foster, who stars opposite Gibson and Jennifer Lawrence. Gibson plays Walter Black, a depressed and troubled husband who learns to communicate through a beaver puppet. Wardrobe includes a ”Ermenegildo Zegna” grey plaid suit jacket, vest, and pants (size 42R/36), and an ”Ike Behar” navy and red striped tie. With original wardrobe tag listing Gibson’s name, character name, scene number and a long description of complete outfit. Also with a Premiere Props COA. Near fine. Sold for $1,562.

Raincoat worn onscreen by Mel Gibson in ”What Women Want”. Gibson starred as a man suddenly bestowed with the gift of hearing women’s thoughts. Khaki single-breasted self-belting coat is an approximate size L. Near fine. With a COA from the Prop Store. Sold for $1,479.

Mel Gibson Screen-Worn Wardrobe From ”The Beaver”

Mel Gibson screen-worn wardrobe from film ”The Beaver.” Gibson plays Walter, a troubled man who uses a beaver hand puppet to communicate, in this Jodie Foster directed drama. Lot includes a large size checker print J. Crew cotton flannel shirt, aged blue button fly 501 Levi jeans in size 36/34, and scuffed brown ankle high ”Red Wing” boots (roughly size 12.5). Includes handwritten wardrobe tag noting M. Gibson, character name, scene description with number and fuller wardrobe description. With a COA from Premiere Props. Sold for $1,420.

Prop sword from the battle scenes of the 1995 epic film ”Braveheart.” This unique prop weapon features a spring mechanism within that allows the end of the sword to collapse into itself for realistic-looking impaling action and immediate re-use. Made of metal with a faux-wood handle. Features a distressed finish. Near fine. With provenance from the film’s Special Effects team. Sold for $1,420.

Braveheart Screen-Worn Warrior Costume

Screen-worn costume from Academy Award-winning 1995 historical epic ”Braveheart.” Mel Gibson directed and starred in the Paramount picture loosely based on the 13th century Scottish rebellion against English rule. The warrior’s ensemble features a brown faux-suede top with imitation armored plates and a burnt orange hessian surcoat featuring the English three lions crest painted in yellow across the front. Near fine. With a COA from the Prop Store of London and provenance from Christie’s. Sold for $1,420.

”Braveheart” Screen-Worn Costume

English soldier’s uniform from ”Braveheart.” Mel Gibson’s Academy Award-winning film was loosely based on the life of Scottish leader William Wallace. Includes a padded long-sleeve three-quarter length black undergarment, a black, orange and tan tunic with blood stains on the reverse, and a fiberglass faux metal helmet. Accompanied by a Prop Store of London COA. Sold for $1,290.
