Johnny Cash stage-worn items continue to be a solid investment

Johnny Cash is widely regarded as one of the most influential recording artists of our time.  Johnny Cash stage-worn costumes have skyrocketed in value over the last fifteen years.  In 2004, the most expensive Johnny Cash stage-worn costume to sell was the Manuel black fringed coat he wore in the 2002 “Hurt” video.  It sold for over $27,000.   Six years later, the blue prison jumpsuit he wore in rehearsal for his “Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison” performance sold for a whopping $50,000.

Stage-worn costume by the ”Man in Black,” Johnny Cash. Cash wore this outfit on his TV show, ”The Johnny Cash Show,” which aired from 1969-1971. Suit is comprised of (1) Long black 2-button jacket with an Eaves Costume Co. label sewn within, with ”J. Cash” handwritten on it. (2) Turnbull and Asser of London for Bergdoff Goodman white button-down shirt. (3) Black pants by Manuel. (4) Black leather ankle boots, size 13D. Entire costume is near fine and quintessential Johnny Cash. With two COAs from Bill Miller, founder of the respected Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville, TN.  Minimum Bid: $25,000.
