Larry Jansen’s 1951 New York Giants Away Game Uniform — All-Star Year for Jansen When Giants Won National League Pennant

1951 New York Giants uniform. This is the away game jersey and pants set issued to Larry Jansen as pitcher on one of the most memorable teams in baseball history. The 1951 New York Giants defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers for the National League pennant in a thrilling tiebreaker that culminated in the classic baseball moment called ”The Shot Heard Round the World.” In addition to being winning pitcher of that game, Jansen was named an All-Star that year. Wool uniform featuring the classic Giants team colors and styling was manufactured by MacGregor Goldsmith. ”Jansen” is embroidered in orange beneath the label inside his #46 button-front jersey; sized 44 in near fine condition. Button-fly pants feature elasticized ankles and are size 36. Minor staining to pant leg near left hip and light soiling to right pant leg, likely dirt from wear during play, else near fine. Willie Mays 1966 San Francisco Giants Uniform Home Pants, Game-Worn — From the Larry Jansen Estate

San Francisco Giants home uniform pants from the 1966 season, game-worn by Willie Mays. Of the 660 home runs in Mays career, chances are these pants were worn for many of his home runs in their time. Cream-colored pants have a thin orange and navy stripe down the side of each pant leg. Three ”MacGregor” brand tags are sewn into waist, including a ”MacGregor Set 2 1966” tag. Mays name is also stitched in cursive: ”Mays / 24 33 26”, as his uniform number, ”24” and measurements, 33” x 26”. The numbers ”24” and ”60” are also written in faded marker along the waist inseam. A few stains on the pants. Near fine. From the Larry Jansen estate. Sold for $2,623.

New York Giants 1947 uniform from Larry Jansen’s estate. Grey jersey and pants feature orange and black Giants team colors. Zip-front #46 jersey is size 44 and features a label embroidered, ”McGowan 46”. Pants are size 36 and feature a ”Warren 9 r47” custom label. MacGregor Goldsmith uniform is near fine. With an LOA from Larry Jansen’s son. Sold for $2,520.

1976 Milwaukee Brewers jersey worn by Hank Aaron during his 23rd and final season; a year in which he hit his legendary 755th home run. Wilson size 44 jersey features “Brewers” and “44” sewn on the front and “44” sewn to reverse. Wilson size tag and “76” year tag sewn to inside collar. Graded 8.5/10. Accompanied by Grey Flannel Certificate of Authenticity. An exceptional Hank Aaron game-used jersey in excellent condition. Sold by us. Currently worth over $50,000.

Official National League Baseball signed by 8 Hall of Famers: “Babe Ruth”, “Ty Cobb”, “Honus Wagner”, “Tris Speaker.”, “Jimmie Foxx”, “Connie Mack”, “Walter Johnson” and “Eddie Collins”. All eight signatures including the Babe Ruth autograph are clearly legible and PSA/DNA authenticated. Also includes an LOA from the Baseball Hall of Fame regarding a possible donation of the ball in the 1980’s. A stunning signed ball in very good condition.  Sold for $20,400.

Babe Ruth Autograph & Lou Gehrig Autograph 5″ x 7″  Pre-1928 Photo in Yankee Pinstripes and Wearing Baseball Mitts

Babe Ruth autograph and Lou Gehrig signed photograph. 5″ x 7″ black and white image depicts the two Yankee greats standing side by side on the baseball field wearing their pinstripe pants. Inscribed by Ruth in brown ink at the upper left, “For Walter from, ‘Babe’ Ruth” beside which Gehrig signs in black ink, “& Lou Gehrig”. Small .25″ tear (with no emulsion loss) at top, not affecting either signature, else fine. A difficult to acquire pairing of legendary signatures on a single photograph.  A Babe Ruth signature with the quotation marks around “Babe” typifies his pre-1928 autograph and will sell at a higher value as well.  Sold for $19,036.
