Kennedy signed copy of ”Profiles in Courage”, inscribed to famed photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, who photographed Kennedy on many occasions during the 1960 Presidential campaign and as President. JFK signs the front free endpaper, ”To Alfred Eisenstaedt / with every good wish / John Kennedy”. New York: Harper & Bros., 1956. Measures 6” x 8.5”. Housed in original unclipped dust jacket, showing price of $3.50. In very good condition with chipping to top edge of jacket. Light wear to book, otherwise near fine. From Alfred Eisenstaedt’s estate and with University Archives COA. Sold for $5,500.

Signed Copy of “The White House” as President — Sold for $3,438
Rare copy of ”The White House” signed by JFK and Jackie Kennedy as President and First Lady. Published by The White House Historical Association: Washington, D.C.: 1962. Upon the title page, Jackie inscribes, ”For Sam Sulliman / with appreciation / Jacqueline Kennedy / Christmas 1962”, with JFK adding his signature, ”John Kennedy”. Sam Sulliman was a U.S. Secret Service agent for over 20 years, and appears in the infamous photo of LBJ being sworn in as President aboard Air Force One. Softcover book is profusely illustrated throughout, running 132pp. Measures 6.75” x 10”. Light wear to spine, otherwise near fine.

New York: Harper & Bros., 1955 first printing with ”First Edition” and ”M-E” on copyright page as required. Measures 6” x 8.5”. In original price-clipped dust jacket, which has some light wear, and sunning to spine; very good condition. Slight shelf wear to book, overall near fine condition. With University Archives COA. A superb signed example of the first printing of John F. Kennedy’s book. Sold for $3,324.

Written while Kennedy served as Senator from Massachusetts, ”Profiles” is a salute to public figures who have put conscience over their careers. Published by Harper & Brothers: New York: 1956, this copy features Kennedy’s uninscribed signature in blue ink to the flyleaf. With original unclipped dustjacket. Housed in a handsome custom-made blue cloth clamshell case. Book runs 266pp., bound in blue cloth boards with black spine. Book measures 6” x 8.5” and slipcase measures 7” x 9.5”. Minor shelf wear, toning and small tear to upper edge of dustjacket. Near fine overall. With a COA from University Archives. Sold for $3,125.

He pens ”To Tom Walker – a good Democrat / With very best wishes / John Kennedy” in blue ink inside the front cover. This Pulitzer Prize-winning biography chronicles eight U.S. Senators who withstood political repercussions in championing causes they believed in. Paperback book measures 4” x 6.5” and runs 231 pages. Toning, paper loss to spine and chip to backstrip. Very good condition. Accompanied by PSA/DNA COA. Sold for $3,049.

Memorial edition of ”Profiles in Courage”, dedicated to legendary actress Helen Hayes and signed by seven high-profile political figures including Robert Kennedy. JFK’s account of eight outstanding U.S. Senators was re-published here by Harper & Row: New York, Evanston, and London: 1964. Front free endpaper is inscribed in the hand of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, ”To Helen Hayes / With deep appreciation” and is signed: ”Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy”, ”Eunice Kennedy Shriver”, ”Ted Kennedy”, ”Jean Kennedy Smith”, ”Patricia Kennedy Lawford”, ”Robert Kennedy” and ”Sargent Shriver”. Elegantly bound in navy blue leather boards with gilt presidential seal and customized in gilt ”Helen Hayes” on the lower right corner of the front board. All edges gilt, with marbled navy blue endpapers featuring gilt flecks. Housed in a navy blue marbled paper slipcase. Light scuffing to backstrip, else fine. Slipcase shows edge wear, else near fine.
