John F. Kennedy Memorabilia
Here is the story on famous John F. Kennedy Memorabilia Auction Related to His Assassination:
It all started when Nate Sanders got a phone call from a co-owner of a funeral home in Fort Worth, Texas in 2010. It turned out that this funeral home had prepared Lee Harvey Oswald for his casket just after he was killed by Jack Ruby in Dallas. Among other John F. Kennedy memorabilia items that the funeral home eventually placed for auction was Lee Harvey Oswald’s original death certificate that later was redone:

It sold for $49,374 in December 2010. Here is the original description:

The freakiest piece of John F. Kennedy memorabilia to ever come to market and maybe just the craziest item to ever to come auction period was also consigned by the funeral house. Lee Harvey Oswald’s coffin was consigned. See, conspiracy theorists believed that Oswald was not in his coffin. Perhaps, it was empty or perhaps a Russian agent was in there. So, they exhumed the coffin and yup, he was in there. But the coffin turned out to be in bad shape as it was water damaged. Thus, Oswald’s brother, Robert, left it to the owners of the funeral home, the Baumgardners, and buried the assassin in a brand new coffin. After keeping the coffin for nearly 30 years, they consigned it.

With buyer’s premium plus hammer price, the coffin was bid up to $87,468.
