John Adam Belushi was an American actor, comedian and singer, and one of the seven original cast members of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL). Throughout his career, Belushi had a close personal and artistic partnership with his fellow SNL star Dan Aykroyd, whome he met while they were both working at Chicago’s The Second City comedy club.

Scarce John Wayne Cowboy Hat Worn in Six Films That Defined The Iconic Actor’s Western Career

Incredibly rare and iconic cowboy hat worn by the legendary John Wayne in six major westerns. Wayne wore the hat in the 1961 film ”The Comancheros”, the 1963 film ”McClintock!”, the 1965 film ”The Sons of Katie Elder”, the 1966 film ”El Dorado”, and the 1969 film ”The Undefeated”. Camel-colored felt cowboy hat has ”John Wayne / ‘Comancheros”’ written in black marker to underneath of front brim, with an additional ”John Wayne” written in black marker to leather sweatband, as well as ”#3” written in green pen to leather. Hat’s brim measures 16” in length and is 5” tall. Inside measures 7” in diameter. Six little holes to brim. With provenance from the Collection of John Wayne, the Collection of Chuck Roberson (the actor’s stunt double), John Hagner’s Hollywood Stuntmen’s Hall of Fame, and Mecum Auctions, Santa Monica, CA, July 26-27, 2013, lot F168. Overall very good. Sold for $37,500.

Harry Truman’s Personally Owned Stetson Hat

Harry Truman personally owned and worn Stetson hat. Open road style Stetson hat features Truman’s name printed inside the band. Beige hat is near fine. Provenance from Heritage Auctions. Sold for $28,734.

King George VI Worn Top Hat

King George VI worn top hat. Plush silk top hat features print to the silk lining that features a Henry Heath Ltd. logo and reads, ”By Special Appointment / to His Majesty the King / Established in the reign of King George IV, 1822 / 105 to 109 Oxford St / London, W.”. Initials ”HRH” appear in gilt beneath. Accompanied by a photo of King George wearing the hat. Displayed in a mirror backed glass and wooden case upon a mahogany and cast iron stand, measuring 16” x 16” x 15”. Hat measures 5.75” in height. Wear to sweatband, else near fine. Sold for $27,500.

Marlon Brando Stetson Hat From His Role as Vito Corleone in ”The Godfather” — The Performance That Garnered Him His Second Oscar

Marlon Brando’s hat from production of Francis Ford Coppola’s ”The Godfather”, lauded as second only to ”Citizen Kane” as the greatest film ever made, and for which Brando was honored with his second Best Actor Academy Award. Hat worn by Brando as Mafia don Vito Corleone is made of grey felt, with black grosgrain band and leather interior band. ”Royal De Luxe” John B. Stetson brand hat shows minor soiling under brim and a tiny stain to the crown, else near fine. One of Brando’s most celebrated roles as one of cinema’s grandest characters. With provenance from Christie’s. Sold for $26,798.

Michael Jackson’s Famous Stage-Worn Black Fedora — From 1984 ”Victory” Tour

Black fedora stage-worn by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, during his ”Victory” tour in 1984. The 55 show tour, which began on 6 July 1984, would gross $75 million in profits (the highest-grossing tour of all-time at that point), and showcased Michael’s crystal-encrusted glove, black sequined jacket and moonwalk. Another essential part of Michael’s iconic outfit was his black fedora with feather accent. This particular fedora was worn on 17 September 1984 at Montreal Olympic Stadium. As stated in the accompanying provenance letter from the original owner, Michael came out for a solo performance of ”Billie Jean” and tossed the fedora into the crowd. Black felt fedora has traditional crown and pinch with matching black ribbon and signature black, red & yellow feather attached to inside of bow. Sweatband reads in gilt, ”MADE EXPRESSIVELY FOR Michael Jackson / by Maddest Hatter Los Angeles California”. Sewn into the liner tip is an emblem for Maddest Hatter, complete with coat of arms. No size in indicated, but head space measures 8” x 6.75”. Hat measures 12” x 11” x 5”. Lining and interior brim also have makeup and sweat stains from performance. Apart from interior performance stains, hat is in near fine condition. With a detailed LOA from the individual who got the fedora at the concert. Sold for $18,274.
