Jim Clark Worn Racing Suit
A Jim Clark worn racing suit is scarce because of his untimely death due to tragedy and the fact that most Formula one worn racing suits rarely make it into public hands. Last year, we were lucky enough to auction a Jim Clark worn racing suit. Here is the description and picture:
Racing Suit Worn by Racing Legend Jim Clark During the 1960’s — Accompanied by a Photo of Clark Wearing the Suit
White racing suit worn by British race car driver Jim Clark. Clark was known for his versatility, as he was able to drive numerous different kinds of cars in racing series around the world. Clark wore this model of suit when he drove in the Indy Car series from the years of 1964-68, during which time he won the 1965 Indy 500. Clark’s name is embroidered to the chest opposite the Firestone sponsor label. Fire suit in cream color contains a Hinchman Uniforms brand label. Also included is an 8″ x 10″ glossy photo of Clark wearing the suit. Measures 21″ across the chest with 31″ inseam. Some staining consistent with race wear. Near fine and extremely rare. From the collection of Collector Studio, Toronto.
