Olympic Track & Field Hero Jesse Owens 8” x 10” Photo Signed
Jesse Owens photo signed of himself running toward one of his 4 gold medals in the memorable 1936 Olympics in Berlin. His autograph inscription in black felt tip reads, ”To Lionel – My Best to you always – / Jesse Owens / 2/27/74”. Owens’ phenomenal series of wins at the 1936 games famously dispelled Hitler’s philosophy of aryan supremacy on the global stage. Glossy black and white photo measures 8” x 10”. Near fine. Sold for $438.
Jesse Owens Signed Photo — Spectacular Iconic Image From the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics
Jesse Owens signed reproduction of a photo taken at the start of his recordbreaking 200-meter race in the 1936 Summer Olympics. He received a gold medal for this race and for three other track and field events. The 8” x 10” glossy photo is inscribed: ”To Brad – My Best Always / Jesse Owens”. Minor creasing, else near fine condition with bold signature.

Customized airplane (Pan Am Clipper) menu signed by over 35 members of the 1956 U.S. Olympic team. Signatures include Hall of Fame basketball player Bill Russell, track star gold medalists Lucinda Williams and Wilma Rudolph, and legendary track star Jesse Owens, who was on board as an ambassador in celebration of his 20th anniversary at the 1936 Olympics. Owens signs the menu twice with a signature on both halves. Also on board was Eddie Eagan, who did not compete in 1956 but won a boxing gold medal in 1920 and a bobsled gold medal in 1932. The card-style menu includes a shield with Olympic rings and reads on the left: ”Welcome Aboard! UNITED STATES OLYMPIC TEAM – 1956 / It is a great privilege and pleasure to serve you on your Clipper flight to the XVIth Olympiad in Melbourne, Australia”. The right side lists the lunch menu. Comes with customized Pan Am breakfast menu, unsigned. Measures 12” x 9”. Near fine condition. Sold for $1,875.
