Leon Allen “Goose” Goslin was an American professional baseball left fielder. he played in Major League Baseball for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, and Detroit Tigers, from 1921 until 1938.
Goslin led the American League (AL) in triples two times and finished the season with a batting average of over .300 eleven times. He won the AL batting title in 1928 with a .379 batting average which set a Washington Senators record. He led the AL in assists five times, putouts four times and his 4,141 putouts and 181 assists five times, putouts four times and his 4,141 putouts and 181 assists as a left fielder are both 5th all time. His 173 triples are 22nd all time and his .316 batting average is 7th all time among left fielders with over 2,000 games played. A two time World Series winner, he was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968 via the Veterans Committee.

Detroit Tigers baseball signed by Hall of Famers Al Kaline and Charles Gehringer. Signed by both men in a bright teal pen, ”Al Kaline” and ”Chas. Gehringer”. Wilson ball is stamped with the Tiger face logo as well as ”Detroit Tigers”. Near fine condition. Sold for $238.
1951 New York Giants uniform. This is the away game jersey and pants set issued to Larry Jansen as pitcher on one of the most memorable teams in baseball history. The 1951 New York Giants defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers for the National League pennant in a thrilling tiebreaker that culminated in the classic baseball moment called ”The Shot Heard Round the World.” In addition to being winning pitcher of that game, Jansen was named an All-Star that year. Wool uniform featuring the classic Giants team colors and styling was manufactured by MacGregor Goldsmith. ”Jansen” is embroidered in orange beneath the label inside his #46 button-front jersey; sized 44 in near fine condition. Mickey Mantle signed 1959 Major League baseball contract. Contract states an agreement between the New York Yankees, known as the “American League Baseball Club of New York, Inc.” and “Mickey C. Mantle” for the amount of “$70,000 per season.” Mantle’s signature and address appear in dark ink on page three. Contract is dated 26 February 1959. 4pp. Mickey Mantle signed document measures 8.5″ x 11″. Contract shows slight toning, otherwise excellent condition. A rare treasure from the beginning of Mantle’s Major League career. A great sports autographed item of sports memorabilia. Great Mickey Mantle signed player’s contract.
