Gerald Ford Signed Handwritten Presidential Oath Office

Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr.  was an American politician who served as the 38th president of the United States from 1974 to 1977. A member of the Republican Party, Ford previously served as the 40th vice president of the United States from 1973 to 1974. To date, Ford is the only person to have served as both vice president and president without being elected to either office by the Electoral College.

Baseball signed by Gerald Ford, who handwrites the Presidential Oath of Office on the ball, making it particularly scarce. Rawlings ball is inscribed by Ford in blue fountain pen, in full, “I, Gerald Rudolph Ford, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. / The White House / August 9, 1974”. Mild discoloration in spots, overall very good to near fine condition. Sold for $6,300.
