Original Disneyland park poster for ”20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” (Disneyland, 1955), a Tomorrowland attraction showcasing props from the movie released in 1954. Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Bjorn Aronson is among the rarest and most collectible of Disneyland posters. Measures 35.75” x 53.75”. Minor edgewear, and closed tears archivally repaired on verso including a 6.5” tear at top. Good plus condition with vivid colors.

Original Disneyland Grand Canyon Diorama Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for the Grand Canyon Diorama attraction, advertised as the ”Largest in the World” (Disneyland, 1958). Hand-pulled silk-screen from 1958 features the Fantasyland depot along bottom, which was removed from the poster design in 1962. Gorgeous poster in purple, teal and beige colors is rich in depth, designed by artist Paul Hartley. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and a few closed tears repaired on verso. Original Disneyland Haunted Mansion Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for the Haunted Mansion, continually one of the most popular attractions (Disneyland, 1969). Designed by artists Ken Chapman and Marc Davis, hand-pulled silk-screen in rich hues of green and orange show faded blue ghosts ”dying to meet” the brave visitor. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and closed tear at top archivally repaired on verso. Overall very good condition, displaying beautifully. Sold for $5,313.

Original Disneyland Santa Fe & Disneyland R.R. Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster — One of the Rarest Disneyland Posters

Original Disneyland park poster for the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad, the heart of Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. (Disneyland, 1956). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Bjorn Aronson is among the rarest and most collectible of Disneyland posters, with vivid colors of pink, blue, teal, cranberry and black. Measures 36” x 53”. Minor edgewear, overall near fine condition. Sold for $4,813.

Original Disneyland park poster for Storybook Land, a ”Gateway to Enchantment” found inside the Fantasyland attraction (Disneyland, 1955). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Bjorn Aronson features Monstro the whale in this playful, visually engaging poster. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and a few closed tears archivally repaired on verso. Small spots of paper loss at top edge, and minor scuffing to lower portion not detracting from the vibrant display. Original Disneyland park poster for the Peoplemover attraction, which debuted in 1967 and ran until 1995 (Disneyland, 1967). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Ken Chapman retains exceptional vibrant colors of blue, orange and red. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and closed tears archivally repaired on verso, a few minor spots of creasing to body not at all detracting from the vibrant display. Very good condition. Sold for $4,375.

Original hand-silk screened poster for the Disneyland Monorail attraction introduced in 1959, the first Monorail in America. Sleek, futuristic poster with bright metallic silver paint background shows the Monorail against the Matterhorn and ”Rocket to the Moon” ride. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear along right side, very minor creasing and a few scratches, overall in very good condition with excellent display quality. With Disney COA and original 1987 receipt. Sold for $4,375.

Original Disneyland park poster for Tom Sawyer Island on Frontierland, urging visitors to ”Explore! Old Mill, Injun Joe’s Cave, Tom and Huck’s Tree House, Fort Wilderness, Castle Rock” (Disneyland, 1957). Designed by Bjorn Aronson, this hand-pulled silk-screen has bold, graphic coloring reminiscent of travel posters from the 1950s. Measures 36” x 54”. Original Disneyland park poster for the Mad Tea Party and Dumbo Carousel, the famous tea cup and carousel rides that were both opening day attractions for the park (Disneyland, 1955). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Bjorn Aronson showcases Dumbo artwork in rich colors of pink, blue and green flying above the rides, with Fantasyland along the bottom. Measures 36” x 54”. Original Disneyland Enchanted Tiki Room Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for the Enchanted Tiki Room, the first attraction to use Audio-Animatronics (Disneyland, ca. 1967). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Paul Hartley is one of the earliest versions with orange lettering and sponsored by United Air Lines. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and creasing with two long closed tears at bottom, archivally repaired on verso. Good plus condition with still vibrant colors. Sold for $2,500.

Original Disneyland Alice in Wonderland Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for Alice in Wonderland, one of the longest-running attractions at the park (Disneyland, 1958). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Sam McKim is the variant displayed by the actual ride rather than the entrance, without Fantasyland along the bottom. Measures 36.5” x 54.5”. Some edgewear and small closed tears archivally repaired on verso. Rich colors of green, yellow, peach and blue remain exceptionally strong. Very good plus condition. Sold for $2,313.

Original Disneyland Flight to the Moon Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for Flight to the Moon, the Tomorrowland attraction which replaced Rocket to the Moon (Disneyland, 1967). In keeping with the redesign by artist Ken Chapman, emphasis was put on the moon itself, rather than the rocket. Hand-pulled silk-screen retains exceptional vibrant colors of navy blue, turquoise, red and white, with the sky seguing to black at top. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear with creasing and a few closed tears archivally repaired on verso. Very good condition with bold coloring. Sold for $1,650.

Original Disneyland park poster for It’s a Small World, the quintessential Disney attraction (Disneyland, 1966). Hand-pulled silk-screen retains an exceptionally bright white background, layered with rich shades of blue, red, black and green. Designed by artist Paul Hartley. Measures 36” x 54”. Original Disneyland park poster for Frontierland, featuring the Mark Twain Riverboat (Disneyland, 1955). Hand-pulled silk-screen designed by Bjorn Aronson features rich colors of turquoise, brown, green and yellow advertising ”Colorful, Exciting Adventures Aboard the ‘Mark Twain”’. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and closed tears archivally repaired on verso. Lower portion has more wear and creasing with some paper loss along left edge. Poster still displays very well with vibrant coloring, overall in good to very good condition. Sold for $1,500.

Original Disneyland Golden Horseshoe Revue Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster

Original Disneyland park poster for the Golden Horseshoe Revue, the popular Frontierland attraction starring the comedian Wally Boag (Disneyland, 1966). Hand-pulled silk-screen by artist Bjorn Aronson features stunning colors of red, white and blue against an iridescent gilt background. Measures 36” x 54”. Poster is the second printing, following the original issued in 1955, with U.S.A. at bottom instead of Frontierland. Minor edgewear, overall very good plus condition. Sold for $1,375.

Original Disneyland Silk-Screened Park Attraction Poster for ”Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln”

Original Disneyland park poster for the ”Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” attraction, one of the rarer Disneyland posters (Disneyland, 1965). Hand-pulled silk-screen retains bright coloring with a shock of red lettering against the photographic background. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear with closed tears archivally repaired on verso, and small area of paper loss at lower left. Very good condition with virtually no toning to colors. Sold for $1,063.

Original Disneyland park poster for the America the Beautiful attraction (Disneyland, 1967). Hand-pulled silk-screen in red, white and blue by artist Ken Chapman features the Statue of Liberty at center. Measures 36” x 54”. Some edgewear and a few closed tears archivally repaired on verso. Displays beautifully with bright white contrast. Very good condition. Sold for $438.

1959 Walt Disney Signed Railroad & Monorail Pass Awarded to Col. Bingham

A Walt Disney signed Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad and Monorail pass. Measuring 3.75″ x 2.5″, Anaheim, California, n.d. [ca. 1959]. Signed “Walt Disney” in his signature loopy style, and made out to Colonel S. H. Bingham. The pass, No. 004, awards the user free access to both the Santa Fe & Disneyland railroad and the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail system as “an honorary Vice-President of the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad” for a period of five years. The front is decorated with an image of a classic coal or steam-powered train, while the back is decorated with the modern monorail system, described as “swift silent transportation of the future.” On verso are also directions on how to use the pass for complimentary service. With light staining on the front. Large, bold signature. Very fine. Sold for $24,750.

Disney Original Concept Painting From 1964 for “It’s a Small World” by Mary Blair — Measures 20″ x 15″

“It’s a Small World” original concept painting, created in 1964 for Walt Disney by Mary Blair, a “Disney Legend” who designed concept art for “Cinderella”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Peter Pan”. Originally a pavilion at the 1964 World’s Fair, “It’s a Small World” captured the attention of Walt Disney, who commissioned Mary Blair to adapt it into a ride at Disneyland. Her subsequent artwork is presented here — a gorgeous 1960s inspired castle-themed piece in colors of pink, green and gold against a contrasting black background. The entrance to the ride is clearly evident in the artwork, referencing Blair’s mod-castle aesthetic with soft colors. Board measures 20″ x 15″. Light edge wear and pinholes at corners, otherwise near fine. Beautiful, large concept art for the iconic Disney attraction. Sold for $15,332.

Walt Disney Signed Disneyland ”Driver’s License” for the Richfield Autopia — From 1955, the Year that Disneyland Opened — With Phil Sears COA

Very rare Walt Disney signed Disneyland ”driver’s license” for the Richfield Autopia, one of the original Disneyland attractions. Pass is from 1955, Disneyland’s inaugural year. Signed on the verso, ”Walt Disney” in black ballpoint without inscription. Card is filled out by recipient, a 10 year-old boy in 1955. Measures 3.875” x 2.375”. Minor age wear and ding along edge, overall very good condition. With Phil Sears COA. Sold for $12,500.

Walt Disney signed Disneyland program, circa 1958 shortly after the popular theme park opened. Signed ”Walt Disney” in large cursive in blue ballpoint on back cover. Page measures 6” x 8.5”, with vertical fold as issued. Near fine condition. Sold for $3,750.

Walt Disney signed Disneyland Gold Pass issued to California Governor Edmund G. “Pat” Brown in 1963. Signed “Walt Disney” in blue ink. Card reads: “Gold Pass / Admit The Honorable Edmund G. Brown / and party of 5 to Disneyland / 1963 / Walt Disney.” 2.5″ x 4″ on card stock. Excellent condition. Sold for $3,654.

Walt Disney Signed ”Guide to Disneyland” — Huge Disney Autograph Measures 5.5” x 3”

Walt Disney signed copy of ”Walt Disney’s Guide to Disneyland”, published in 1962. Disney’s large autograph in black ink measures approximately 5.5” x 3”, signed on the inside front cover of the book, which spans 27 pages. Softcover book measures 11.5” x 8”. Near fine condition. Sold for $2,723.

Disneyland Ticket for Opening Day Festivities on 17 July 1955

Disneyland ticket to its opening day on 17 July 1955. “Invitational Press Preview and Dedication of Disneyland” ticket features a rendering of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle on the front, with the text “Admit One”, on the day of Sunday, July 17, 1955 at 2:30 pm. Verso shows a map of Anaheim and the surrounding area, with information regarding the ABC telecast of the opening. Metallic silver ticket measures 6.5″ x 3.5″. Light wear, overall very good plus condition. Sold for $1,954.
