Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autograph photograph. 5″ x 7″ black and white image depicts the two Yankee greats standing side by side on the baseball field wearing their pinstripe pants. Inscribed by Ruth in brown ink at the upper left, “For Walter from, ‘Babe’ Ruth” beside which Gehrig signs in black ink, “& Lou Gehrig”. Small .25″ tear (with no emulsion loss) at top, not affecting either signature, else fine. A difficult to acquire pairing of legendary signatures on a single photograph. A Babe Ruth signature with the quotation marks around “Babe” typifies his pre-1928 autograph and will sell at a higher value as well. Sold for $19,036.

Additionally signed by fellow “Murderers Row” member, Lou Gehrig on adjacent panel in black ink. Ruth autograph rates PSA 6-7; Gerhrig signature rates PSA 8. Accompanied by PSA/DNA letter of authenticity certifying that the Babe Ruth autograph and the Lou Gehrig autographs are authentic. An exceptional Babe Ruth signed baseball etc. and a must-have for Yankees collectors. Sold for $18,500.

Rare inscribed and signed photo of Lou Gehrig. Boldly inscribed in black fountain ink: “…To George / With Kindest Regards / Cordially / Lou Gehrig.” The New York Yankee first baseman put up some of baseball’s most impressive offensive statistics while playing in 2,130 consecutive games over 14 seasons, a record that stood for more than 50 years until Cal Ripken Jr. broke it in 1995. Gehrig’s consecutive streak was halted only by the stunning diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the debilitating disease of the nervous system that would come to bear his name. Photo measures 4″ x 6″ and is accompanied by original frame. Excellent condition. A rare personalized item from the beloved “Pride of the Yankees.” Sold for $5,500.

Signed 10″ x 8″ photo depicting the 1937 World Champion New York Yankees and bearing 30 signatures, accounting for every uniformed subject pictured. The signatures are rendered in the same consistent black fountain pen and include Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Red Ruffing, Selkirk, Crosetti, Jorgens, Hoag, Scheiber, Henrich, Hadley, Andrews, Makosky, Murphy, Rolfe, Vance, Malone, Glenn, Fletcher, Powell and Sullivan (mascot). Ten of the signatures are clubhouse versions including Wicker, Heffner, Saltzgaver, Dickey, Pearson, Gomez, Schulte, McCarthy, Combs and Lazzeri. Very good dark, legible signatures. Alex Rodriguez signed Seattle Mariners jersey, with an additional notation by A-Rod indicating “1998 Game Used 40/40”. Rodriguez began his career on the Seattle Mariners and in 1998 became one of only three players in baseball history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases (known as the 40/40 Club). This white polyester “Russell” buttoned jersey has the Mariners team name across the chest, and Rodriguez’s name and number on the back. Tapered body size 48, with 2″ extra body length and 1″ extra sleeve length. Comes with an additional COA signed by Rodriguez. Light game soiling, else near fine. Sold for $1,389.

Mark Hamill’s Screen-Worn Hero Pants in the Original 1977 ”Star Wars” as Luke Skywalker
Screen-worn ”hero” costume pants worn by Mark Hamill in his career-defining role as Luke Skywalker in the 1977 epic film ”Star Wars”, the first in the groundbreaking trilogy. As one of the top-grossing films of all time, George Lucas’ first film in the successful series won six Oscars, among many other awards. In a galaxy far, far away, Hamill donned these iconic pants as the Jedi Knight of all Jedi Knights, wearing the costume pants throughout much of the film. Sand-colored ”cotton drill” Levi’s pants are purposely distressed to display wear, with dirt to back right pocket and in spots to front of pant legs. In fact, in an accompanying article, Mark Hamill said of the pants, ”By the way, those pants I wore were just bleached Levi’s with the tag still in them.” Pants measure 29” waist x 37” in length with two 6” slits up each side. Customized by the famous London costumier, Bermans & Nathans, original tag sewn to inseam reads: ”Bermans & Nathans / 40 Camden St., / London N.W. 1” tag with a ”Mark Hamill / 10490 Luke / Star Wars” printed in type beneath it. Very good condition overall. Also with tags attached from both Christie’s, where the pants were originally auctioned, and Sotheby’s, from its 1998 auction. Sold for $60,000.

Bruce Lee Personally Owned and Used Heavy Bag
Bruce Lee owned and used heavy bag. Beige canvas heavy bag used in Lee’s revolutionary martial arts practice is stamped with brand name Atlas. Measures 39” high with a 14” diameter. Weighs 69 pounds. Moisture staining around the bottom quarter, else near fine. From the collection of Herb Jackson, whose well-documented friendship with Lee began while he trained in Jeet Kune Do at Lee’s Los Angeles martial arts academy in Chinatown. Lee, impressed with Jackson’s background in street fighting, in time befriended his student and invited him to train at his home. Just before his fateful move to Hong Kong, Lee gifted many pieces of his martial arts equipment to Jackson. With a COA from Herb Jackson’s son. Sold for $33,901.

Sword prop procured for use by Hollywood legend Ingrid Bergman in the title role in “Joan of Arc”. Solid metal prop sword is painted to appear housed in its scabbard, made to look like wood with metal bindings and red decoration. Measures 42″ in length. Scattered chipping to paint, else near fine.
