It would have been a great pleasure indeed to Mrs. Debs and myself to meet you and Mrs. Viereck, but…I had to leave for home soon after landing from Bermuda. I have been so anxious to see you, to take you by the hand and tell you in person how sincerely I regard you and how much I appreciate your friendship…But I am sure the fates will not always conspire against us, and some good day, not far distant I hope, we shall walk into each others’ arms and make up for lost time. / The marked copy of the Monthly with your fine article has been received so I need not say how very much I appreciate your continued kindness or consideration…Eugene V.
