Cal Ripken First Game Ticket 30 May 1982 Sold

Cal Ripkin was a shortstop for 21 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. During the length of his two decade career he had over 3,000 hits, 431 home runs and was a 19 time all-star and two-time American league Most Valuable Player. His most notable accomplishment is the record for most consecutive games played, which was 2,632 games between May 30 1982 and September 19, 1998. The previous record holder for most consecutive games played was hall of famer Lou Gehrig. Cal Ripkin Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.

Memorable and scarce ticket stub from the very first game of Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken’s legendary 2,632 game streak. The game played on 30 May 1982 was between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Ticket numbered 154, features a Blue Jays logo in red and original ticket price of $4.25. Ticket stub measures approximately 3.5″ x 2″ in near fine condition. Encapsulated and graded 8 by PSA. Population 1 of 1. Sold for $4,373.
