Apollo 11 Buzz Aldrin Signed Lunar Module Descent Chart
Buzz Aldrin signed Lunar Module Descent Monitoring Chart for the Apollo 11 mission, for which Aldrin served as Lunar Module Pilot and, in that role, contributed to the preparation of this chart. Aldrin signs in black felt tip on Landing Site 2 of the moon’s surface, “Buzz Aldrin / Apollo XI / 20-21 July 1969″, referencing the days he and Neil Armstrong spent on the moon. Map is Edition 1, with an expected launch date of 16 July 1969, the actual date that Apollo 11 lifted off. Prepared by the Defense Mapping Agency. Chart measures 41.5″ x 13.625”. Minute creasing, overall near fine condition. Sold for $2,439.

Neil Armstrong signature upon a 5” x 3” card, inscribed ”To Kevin” in blue felt tip. Autograph is accompanied by a 10” x 8” NASA photograph of the Apollo 11 crew for framing. Very good plus condition. With Steve Zarelli COA. Sold for $625.
Apollo 11 crew-signed ”type three” insurance cover, signed by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. Apollo 11 was the first to produce insurance covers for the families of the astronauts, with three different types of which this is type three. Cover features the Apollo 11 mission insignia, postmark from Kennedy Space Center on 16 July 1969, the day of the launch, and an Apollo 8 six-cent stamp. The signatures of ”Michael Collins”, ”Neil Armstrong” and ”Buzz Aldrin” prominently appear in blue felt tip. Measures 6.5” x 3.75”. Near fine condition. Sold for $8,750.
