Brooks Robinson is a retired professional baseball player who had a 23 year career playing with just the Baltimore Orioles between 1955 and 1977. He currently holds the MLB record for the longest career with one team. Robinson is often considered the greatest third baseman in history and was given the nicknames “Mr. Hoover” and the “Human Vacuum Cleaner” for his exceptional ability to catch baseballs in his vicinity. He was an 18-time All Star, two-time World Series Champion, American League MVP and RBI leader in 1964, 16-time Gold Glove winner and World Series MVP of 1970. His career stats include 1,357 RBIs, 2,848 hits, 268 home runs and a batting average of .267. Following retirement from his playing career in 1977 the Orioles retired his jersey number 5. Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983. He currently is the president of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.

Wilson size 44 jersey features “Brewers” and “44” sewn on the front and “44” sewn to reverse. Wilson size tag and “76” year tag sewn to inside collar. Graded 8.5/10. Accompanied by Grey Flannel Certificate of Authenticity. An exceptional Hank Aaron game-used jersey in excellent condition. Sold by us. Currently worth over $50,000.

Official National League Baseball signed by 8 Hall of Famers: “Babe Ruth”, “Ty Cobb”, “Honus Wagner”, “Tris Speaker.”, “Jimmie Foxx”, “Connie Mack”, “Walter Johnson” and “Eddie Collins”. All eight signatures including the Babe Ruth autograph are clearly legible and PSA/DNA authenticated. Also includes an LOA from the Baseball Hall of Fame regarding a possible donation of the ball in the 1980’s. A stunning signed ball in very good condition. Sold for $20,400.

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autograph photograph. 5″ x 7″ black and white image depicts the two Yankee greats standing side by side on the baseball field wearing their pinstripe pants. Inscribed by Ruth in brown ink at the upper left, “For Walter from, ‘Babe’ Ruth” beside which Gehrig signs in black ink, “& Lou Gehrig”. Small .25″ tear (with no emulsion loss) at top, not affecting either signature, else fine. A difficult to acquire pairing of legendary signatures on a single photograph. A Babe Ruth signature with the quotation marks around “Babe” typifies his pre-1928 autograph and will sell at a higher value as well. Sold for $19,036.

Scarce 1903 Baltimore Orioles Wilbert Robinson Autograph Letter Signed — ”…have him come right away and report at the Ball Grounds…” — With PSA/DNA COA
Wilbert Robinson autograph letter signed dated June 22 1903 to baseball scout George Booker, regarding player Joe Curtis who briefly played for the Orioles under Robinson in 1903. Written on Robinson’s bowling alley ”The Diamond,” letterhead listing him as the proprietor, letter includes the original mailing envelope with the return address of the Baltimore Orioles baseball club handwritten by Robinson. In full with Robinson’s style of little punctuation: ”Dear Sir, Mr. [Ned] Hanlon handed me your letter about Curtis and asked me to write you and have you send Curtis up here to Baltimore for trial we will be giving him $75.00 per month to start with and of course if he is able to fill the bill we will be only glad to pay him what his is worth tell the young man if Team no use him I will place him on some good club for a while until Team use him have him come right away and report at the Ball Grounds.” Letter measures 5.75” x 9”. Top third of letter separated at fold, else near fine. With PSA/DNA COA. Sold for $4,915.
