Original concept art for the erotic thriller “Basic Instinct”, done by the film’s creative director Michael Salisbury. Lot includes over 65 pieces, mostly pencil sketches showing Michael Douglas with the ultimate femme fatale, Sharon Stone as Catherine Tramell, likely done as mock-ups for advertising for the film. Other moody scenes show Douglas in San Francisco, and typography layouts of the film’s title and Douglas’ name. Sizes vary, with most being large display pieces measuring approximately 12″ x 17″. Creasing to some, mostly to edges, overall in very good condition. From the personal collection of Michael Salisbury. Sold for $2,600.
