“Reaching for the Stars” print by Alan Bean, signed by Bean and 23 of his fellow astronauts. Meant to perfectly replicate Bean’s original painting which used spacesuit parts from Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and Apollo-Soyuz missions. Limited to 150 prints, this one is number 25. Bordering the image are signatures from 24 astronauts, including 6 of 12 men to walk on the moon: Buzz Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell and Charles Duke. 4 of the signatures are from astronauts who are now deceased: Pete Conrad, Alan Shepard, M. Scott Carpenter and L. Gordon Cooper, Jr. Measures 27″ x 34″. Near fine condition. Sold for $1,050.

Limited edition lithograph signed by 20 NASA astronauts. This is #747 of a 1000 limited edition created by Alan Bean called ”In The Beginning”. An astronaut from every Apollo mission signs, clockwise from top right: ”Harrison H Schmitt”, ”Charlie Duke”, ”David Scott”, ”Al Worden”, ”Alan Shepard”, ”Stuart Roosa”, ”Edgar Mitchell”, ”James Lovell”, ”Fred Haise”, ”Charles Conrad”, ”Richard Gordon”, ”Alan Bean”, ”Buzz Aldrin”, ”Michael Collins”, ”Tom Stafford”, ”Jim McDivitt”, ”Rusty Schweickart”, ”Frank Borman”, ”Walt Cunningham” and ”Wally Schirra”. Each astronaut signs beneath the insignia of the Apollo mission he flew. Bean’s art depicts the Apollo 11 moon landing. Measures 26” x 32”. Light staining to upper right, else fine. Sold for $1,420.
Scarce NASA ”Chariots For Apollo: A History of Manned Lunar Spacecraft” first-edition book signed by each Apollo 11 astronaut from the historic 1969 lunar landing mission. NASA: Washington, D.C.: 1979. Documenting the painstaking process of the Apollo 11 mission, from conception on earth to those first steps on the moon’s surface by Neil Armstrong. With 100+ photos and illustrations detailing the mission completed by Mission Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot, Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot, Buzz Aldrin. Book is signed and inscribed to Alan Lovelace, who was the Deputy Administrator of NASA from 2 July 1976 to 10 July 1981. Inscribed by Aldrin on flyleaf under which all three astronauts sign: ”To Al Lovelace / Best Wishes From Apollo 11 / Buzz Aldrin / 7-20-79 / Michael Collins / Neil Armstrong”. Aldrin and Collins sign in black ink; Armstrong signs in blue ink. Signatures are bold and clear. 538pp. book is bound in teal cloth boards with gilt lettering to cover and spine. Very minor rubbing to spine and minor sunning to edges, else near fine. With a signed letter of provenance from Lovelace on his personal stationery reading, ”This book was part of the private collection of the Deputy Administrator of NASA.” Also with a COA from PSA/DNA for all three signatures. Rare and fantastic signed book, “The Astronauts: The Story of Project Mercury, America’s Man-in-Space Program” by Martin Caiden. First edition, second printing published in 1960. Volume is boldly signed and inscribed on front free endpaper: “To Edward Miller / With Best Wishes from / the Mercury Astronauts”. Signed by all Mercury 7 astronauts in ink: “Virgil S. Grissom”, “M. Scott Carpenter”, “Leroy G. Cooper Jr.”, “John A. Glenn, Jr.”, “Walter M. Schirra, Jr.”, “Alan B. Shepard” and “Donald K. Slayton”. Accompanied by original dustjacket. Black cloth boards show minor rubbing to corners and spine ends; interior is fine. 5.5″ x 8″ volume is in near fine condition. Sold for $4,529.
Apollo 11 crew-signed first edition of ”First on the Moon / A Voyage With Neil Armstrong / Michael Collins / Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr.” Boston: Little, Brown & Co., 1970, published shortly after the historic moon landing. The astronauts sign the half-title page, with an inscription by Armstrong: ”To Stephen Antosy – With Best Wishes / Neil Armstong”, below which is signed ”MCollins” and ”Buzz Aldrin”. Housed in original dust jacket with $7.95 price intact. Jacket is in very good condition, with chipping mostly to top edge. Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 stamps affixed to title page, along with a pictorial cancellation marking the 10th anniversary of Apollo 11. Book measures 6.5” x 9.5”. Light bumping to corners, otherwise near fine. Sold for $4,125.

Stunning United States flag flown to the moon on Apollo 11 during the historic 1969 mission. With an official NASA certificate reading: ”This flag traveled to the Moon with Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing, July 20, 1969.” The certificate has the Apollo 11 crew emblem near the center with the additional wording of: ”Apollo 11, July 16-24, 1969. ARMSTRONG — COLLINS — ALDRIN.” Printed along the bottom edge are the first words by Neil Armstrong after stepping upon the moon: ”One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” The silk United States flag measures 6” x 4” and is mounted to the NASA certificate, which measures 10” x 12”. A beautiful unsigned Apollo 11 flag flown to the moon. Fine. Sold for $21,013.
Buzz Aldrin’s A6L Spacesuit Glove — Worn by Aldrin in 1968 During Training for the Apollo 11 Mission
Buzz Aldrin’s A6L spacesuit glove, worn by Aldrin in 1968 during training for the Apollo 11 mission. Made by International Latex Corp., the A6L spacesuit modified the existing A5L suit by adding an integrated thermal and micrometeroid cover layer. After the Apollo I fire, the A6L was further improved with fire-resistant capability, becoming the A7L which the astronauts wore during the Apollo missions.
Blue and black glove has an integrated label sewn into the glove specifying ”E. ALDRIN” for size, with the date of ”4/68”. ”NASA” is typed above the ILC manufacturer’s name. Other information, such as Serial, Model and Contract Numbers are also typed in, with the Item line reading ”SPEC. CP 2001 / GLOVE ASSEMBLY / PRESSURE PGA LEFT / A6L-103000-09”. A brown velcro and metal strap at the base of the fingers allows for size adjustment. Glove stands on its hard base, designed to screw into the adjoining portion of the spacesuit. Measures 9” tall x 4.5” wide. A few loose strings and some wear to to the material covering the fingers, but overall in very good plus condition, excellent for display. Sold for $17,840.
