Apollo 7 flown items are probably the least expensive Apollo flown items that one can buy. Here, at NateDSanders.com Auctions, we personally had Walt Cunningham come over our office and consign to us and we also had Jack Swigert’s sister, consign the estate of her brother, where there was an Apollo 7 Robbins medal that sold. Apollo 7 Flown Robbins Medal, Serial #232 — Personally Owned by Jack Swigert
Rare Apollo 7 flown Robbins medal, serial number 232, as one of only 255 flown on the first manned mission to the moon. Obverse of medal features various mission insignia including the mission’s command service module jetting above the earth, a roman numeral “VII” and each astronaut’s last name engraved along edge. Verso features date of the mission launch, the serial number, and the sterling Robbins hallmark. Coin measures 1.25” x 1″ and is made of sterling silver, housed in its original ”Robbins Company” plastic box with an “232” sticker on the bottom. Minor tarnishing to verso, else near fine. With an LOA from Apollo 13 astronaut Jack Swigert’s sister. Sold for $2,634.
U.S. Flag Flown Aboard Apollo 7 — Signed by Astronaut Walter Cunningham
Apollo 7 flown U.S. flag signed by Lunar Module Pilot Walter Cunningham. Red, white and blue rayon-type fabric flag is inscribed, ”Carried with me on Apollo 7 / Walt Cunningham”. The October 1968 Apollo 7 flight was the first manned mission in the Apollo program. The flag, measuring 6” x 4”, is in fine condition. Accompanied by letter of authenticity by Walter Cunningham. Sold for $1,789.
