Flown Robbins medal from Apollo 7, the first crewed mission of the U.S. Apollo program. Sterling silver medallion is serial number 167, engraved on the reverse along with the sterling mark and launch date of 11 October 1968. Obverse of medal features the mission insignia in relief with the surnames of crew members Walter Schirra, Donn Eisele and Walt Cunningham. Measures 1.25” x 1”. Very good to near fine condition. From the personal collection of astronaut Story Musgrave and with his LOA. Sold for $3,308.

Apollo 7 Flown Robbins Medal, Serial #232 — Personally Owned by Jack Swigert
Rare Apollo 7 flown Robbins medal, serial number 232, as one of only 255 flown on the first manned mission to the moon. Obverse of medal features various mission insignia including the mission’s command service module jetting above the earth, a roman numeral “VII” and each astronaut’s last name engraved along edge. Verso features date of the mission launch, the serial number, and the sterling Robbins hallmark. Coin measures 1.25” x 1″ and is made of sterling silver, housed in its original ”Robbins Company” plastic box with an “232” sticker on the bottom. Minor tarnishing to verso, else near fine. With an LOA from Apollo 13 astronaut Jack Swigert’s sister. Sold for $2,634.

Walter Cunningham signed 16” x 20” dramatic photo of the Apollo 7 rocket launching into space on 11 October 1968. Cunningham writes a very personal message honoring Wernher von Braun and his importance to America’s Apollo program, ”I’ve met a lot of people in important positions, and Wernher von Braun was one that I never had any reluctance to give whatever kind of credit they deserved. As I think back now on all of the top managers that I met at NASA, many of them were very, very good. But Wernher, relative to the position he had and what he had to do, I think was the best of the bunch. / Walt Cunningham / APOLLO 7”. Near fine condition. Sold for $3,150.

Apollo 7 Flown U.S. Flag — From the Personal Collection of Walt Cunningham & Signed by Him
Walter Cunningham’s personally owned Apollo 7 flown U.S. flag, with Cunningham’s signed note attesting to its flown status. Cunningham writes upon one of the white bars, “CARRIED WITH ME ON APOLLO 7 Walt Cunningham”. With Apollo 7 distinguished as the first manned Apollo mission, this flag is also the first to be flown in the program that put man on the moon. Flag measures 5.75″ x 4″, affixed on a presentation certificate with a photo of the crew to a size of 9.5″ x 11.25″. Housed in an envelope with “Flown Flag” written by Cunningham. In stunning, near fine condition. Sold for $2,700.

American Flag Flown on the Apollo VII Mission — Signed Clearly By Astronaut Walt Cunningham
American flag signed “Carried with me on Apollo 7 / Walt Cunningham” by the NASA astronaut. The 6″ x 3.75″ flag is mounted to 10″ x 12″ along with a picture of the Apollo VII crew and the printed message: “This flag was carried aboard the first manned Apollo Spacecraft / Apollo VII / October 11-22, 1968 / Schirra / Eisele / Cunningham”. Fine condition. A very desirable Apollo flown U.S. flag. Sold for $2,555.

Walt Cunningham Signed Copy of the Apollo 7 Flight Plan — Also With His Handwritten Reflections on the Mission ”…Apollo 7 was our first step to the Moon…”
Walt Cunningham signed copy of the Apollo 7 flight plan, with his handwritten reflections on the mission that started the Apollo program. Cunningham writes in black felt-tip on the cover, ”Apollo 7 was the most ambitious first flight undertaken. John Glenn’s first Mercury mission had lasted less than five hours and the first Gemini flight did no better. Apollo 7 was to be our second longest space mission ever. Apollo 7 was our first step to the Moon. Walt Cunningham / Apollo 7”. Flight plan is a contemporary copy, and measures 8.5” x 11”. Near fine condition. Sold for $2,310.

Apollo 7 flown U.S. flag signed by Lunar Module Pilot Walter Cunningham. Red, white and blue rayon-type fabric flag is inscribed, ”Carried with me on Apollo 7 / Walt Cunningham”. The October 1968 Apollo 7 flight was the first manned mission in the Apollo program. The flag, measuring 6” x 4”, is in fine condition. Accompanied by letter of authenticity by Walter Cunningham. Sold for $1,789.
