Alfred Hitchcock Autograph Sold by Nate D. Sanders
Alfred Hitchcock is also known as the “master of suspense” for the films he directed and produced. During his career he directed over 50 films. His early films were made in England, and he later began to direct films in Hollywood. The novel adaptation “Rebecca” was his first American film, and remains a classic nearly 80 years later . Many consider Hitchcock’s films “Rear Window”, “Vertigo”, “Psycho” and “North by Northwest” to be some of the greatest films made. Alfred Hitchcock was nominated for five Academy Awards and won the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1968.

Alfred Hitchcock Signed Self-Portrait Sketch — Measures 11” x 14”
Alfred Hitchcock signed self-portrait sketch, a large example measuring 11” x 14”. Done in black felt-tip, Hitchcock inscribes the sketch to Adrienne, the name can be framed out. Drawn on Crescent illustration board. Light soiling and bumping to edges, overall in very good condition. Sold for $1,875.

“Stories My Mother Never Told Me” Signed by Alfred Hitchcock and Ray Bradbury — With Self-Portrait Sketch of Hitchcock’s Famous Profile.
First printing of “Stories My Mother Never Told Me” signed by Alfred Hitchcock and Ray Bradbury on the front free endpaper. Random House: New York: 1963. Hitchcock and Bradbury sign below Hitch’s trademark profile. The story collection is one in a series of “Alfred Hitchcock Presents…” released in the 60’s and 70’s. Each volume contains stories with shock endings or fantastical elements by various authors including F. Scott Fitzgerald and Shirley Jackson. The 6″ x 8.5″ volume with unclipped dustjacket is near fine. Sold for $1,266.

Large ”Alfred J Hitchcock” signature beneath his self-portrait sketch. Drawn in black Sharpie-style pen, large mat board measures 11” x 14”. Newspaper article taped to back indicates this was won at a charity auction in 1979. Creasing to corners, which can be framed out, and very light toning. Overall very good condition.
