David Crosby’s Own Gibson ES-335 Guitar — From His Days in “The Byrds”
David Crosby’s personally owned and played Gibson guitar, used by Crosby in “The Byrds,” one of the most influential bands of the 1960’s. Crosby’s role in “The Byrds” from the iconic group’s formation in 1964 until his departure in 1967 garnered him his first of two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Guitar is the widely recognized Gibson ES-335, with a Bigsby Vibrato tailpiece tremolo. Dating to 1958, this model was the first electric guitar to introduce the semi-hollow body design. Neck is one-piece mahogany beneath a rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Measures 16.5″ wide, 20″ long, and 1.75″ deep. Housed in a black hardshell case lined in orange velvet. Scattered nicks and bumping to top of headstock, else near fine. With an LOA from David Crosby. Sold for $25,428.

Painting by lauded psychedelic pop artist Peter Max from the personal collection of David Crosby. One-of-a-kind oil painting is from the famous ”Grammy ’91” series. Max was named the official artist of the Grammy’s, while Crosby was honored at the 1991 ceremony with the first-ever MusiCares Person of the Year award. Painting is matted and framed to an overall size of 26.75” x 31”. Near fine. With an LOA from David Crosby. Sold for $6,691.

Oil on canvas mixed-medium portrait of David Crosby done by Peter Max, in Max’s characteristic psychedelic style. A photographic image of Crosby’s face is printed in the center of the canvas, surrounded by bright oil paint from every part of the spectrum. The famed pop artist paints his name ”Max” on the upper right corner. Canvas is stretched over boards to an overall size of 28” x 32”. Canvas verso bears a Peter Max 1996 stamp and #33568. Fine. A scarce piece from kindred spirits in the psychedelic movement. With an LOA from David Crosby. Sold for $6,691.

David Crosby’s personally owned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame jacket, given to Crosby when he was inducted in 1997 with Crosby, Stills & Nash. Crosby is one of only 21 inductees who have been awarded entrance more than once; he was first inducted with the Byrds in 1991. Black and tan suede jacket features ”David Crosby” embroidered in gold on the right chest, and insignia for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum on the left chest, with ”Inducted / 1991 & 1997” embroidered in gold. Jacket is size Medium. Obtained directly from rock legend David Crosby. Sold for $1,031.

Bob Dylan signed album, ”Blonde on Blonde”, one of rock’s first double albums released in 1966. Many consider it one of the greatest rock albums of all time, with the classic songs ”Just Like a Woman”, ”Visions of Johanna”, ”I Want You” and ”Rainy Day Women #12 & 35”. Signed by Dylan on the famous blurred focus cover. Measures 12.25” square. Signature has been authenticated by Bob Dylan’s manager and album is from the stock of the manager and Bob Dylan. Near fine condition. Sold for $8,000.


Bob Dylan Signed Album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” — With a COA From Dylan’s Manger, Jeff Rosen
Bob Dylan signed album, “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan”, his second album that earned him “Spokesman of a Generation” for the political nature of the songs including “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall”. This album also marked Dylan’s transition to writing nearly all his own compositions. Measures 12.25″ square. Signature has been authenticated by Jeff Rosen, Bob Dylan’s manager. Very good condition. Also with a COA by Roger Epperson. Sold for $8,000.


Rare Bob Marley signed ”Exodus” album, inscribed by the legend in black felt-tip, ”Rasta Fari Live / Bob Marley”. Released in 1977 shortly after the assassination attempt on Marley’s life, ”Exodus” is considered his masterpiece, with more tracks on his greatest hits album ”Legend” than any other album, including ”Jamming”, ”Waiting in Vain”, ”Exodus”, ”Three Little Birds” and ”One Love”. Some abrasion to spine with partial loss, and some light ringwear, more so to the bottom. Very good condition. Vinyl sleeve and record included, which is in very good plus condition with just a few minute scuffs. With Roger Epperson COA. A rare signed piece by Marley, ideal for display. Sold for $7,563.


Bob Marley Signed ”Kaya” Album — Signed ”Rasta Love Kaya / Bob Marley” — With Roger Epperson COA
Bob Marley signed ”Kaya” album, inscribed by the legend in blue ballpoint pen, ”Rasta Love Kaya / Bob Marley”. Released in 1978, ”Kaya” include the iconic songs ”Is This Love” and ”Sun Is Shining”, promoted by Bob Marley & The Wailers in a worldwide tour in 1978, where this autograph was obtained on their stop in Paris in June. Some creasing to album cover, small bit of abrasion at upper left and inconspicuous tape along left side. On the verso is written ”Pascal 78” in orange marker. Vinyl record included, which has some shallow scratching. With Roger Epperson COA. A visually interesting and rare signed piece by Marley, ideal for display. Sold for $6,655.

Pink Floyd rare signed ”Ummagumma” album, signed by all four band members in large black marker on the album’s front cover: Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and David Gilmour. The ”Ummagumma” double album, released in October 1969, is considered by many to be one of the best live albums ever produced. Some dampstaining to top edge, light ring wear and partially separated spine. Overall in good plus condition. With a COA from Roger Epperson for all four signatures. Sold for $5,000.


The Eagles Signed Test Pressing for ”Hotel California” — With PSA/DNA COA
The Eagles signed test pressing of their LP ”Hotel California”. This pressing is from 1976, shortly before the album debuted in February 1977 and would go onto win a Grammy for Record of the Year, making the Eagles a household name. Pressing was given to a journalist who interviewed the band, to whom the album is inscribed, ”J.J., Enjoyed the interview / Thanks” under which they sign ”Glenn Frey”, ”Don Henley”, ”Joe Walsh”, ”Randy Meisner” and ”Don Felder”. Album cover measures 12.5” square. Minor wear and spotting to album cover, overall very good condition. Vinyl records appears near fine. With a COA from PSA/DNA. Sold for $4,063.
