Elsa Lanchester Signed 8″ x 10″ Photo as Bride of Frankenstein

Elsa Sullivan Lanchester (28 October 1902 – 26 December 1986) was an English actress with a long career in theatre, film and television. Bride of Frankenstein is a 1935 American science fiction horror film, and the first sequel to Universal Pictures’ 1931 film Frankenstein. As with the first film, Bride of Frankenstein was directed by James Whale and stars Boris Karloff as the Monster. The sequel features Elsa Lanchester in the dual role of Mary Shelley and the titular character at the end of the film. Colin Clive reprises his role as Henry Frankenstein, and Ernest Thesiger plays the role of Doctor Septimus Pretorius.

Elsa Lanchester signed photo as the “Bride of Frankenstein” from the classic 1935 horror film. Lanchester writes in black felt-tip, “With all my good wishes / Elsa Lanchester”. Glossy photo measures 8″ x 10″. Minute creasing and a few spots on emulsion. Possibly inscription expertly removed. Overall in very good plus condition. Sold for $2,500.
