Warren Gamaliel Harding (November 2, 1865 – August 2, 1923) was the 29th president of the United States, serving from 1921 until his death in 1923. A member of the Republican Party, he was one of the most popular sitting U.S. presidents. After his death, a number of scandals were exposed, including Teapot Dome, as well as an extramarital affair with Nan Britton, which diminished his reputation.

Rare Warren Harding Autograph Letter Signed as President

Warren Harding autograph letter signed as President, dated 14 June 1921. One page letter on official White House stationery recommends a Mr. Carpenter for a position and is signed, ”Warren G. Harding”. Some dampstaining at center crease, otherwise very good. Note at bottom in a different hand indicates that the letter ”refers to W.J. Howell, Prospect.” Autograph letters dating from Harding’s presidency are rare. Sold for $3,125.

10 x 13 Signed Photos Warren Harding & Florence Harding

Florence Mabel Harding (née Kling; August 15, 1860 – November 21, 1924) was the first lady of the United States from 1921 to 1923 as the wife of President Warren G. Harding. Florence first married Pete De Wolfe and had a son, Marshall. After divorcing him, she married the somewhat-younger Harding when he was a newspaper publisher in Ohio, and she was acknowledged as the brains behind the business. Known as The Duchess, she adapted well to the White House, where she gave notably elegant parties.

President Warren Harding signed photo and First Lady Florence Harding signed photo, each measuring 10″ x 13″ with photographic portion measuring approximately 7″ x 9″. The President inscribes his photo in black fountain pen, “To John Campion with cordial greetings and my best wishes. Sincerely Warren G Harding”. Mrs. Harding inscribes her photo to Mr. Campion’s wife in dramatic white pen, “To Mrs. Campion – With greatful [sic] appreciation of courtesies and a valued friendship – Sincerely Florence Kling Harding”. Matte images are both in near fine condition. Sold for $866.

Warren G. Harding Owned Crystal Cordial Glass Heritage

After his death, a number of scandals, including Teapot Dome, came to light, as did his extramarital affair with Nan Britton; those eroded his popular regard.

Crystal cordial glass owned by Warren G. Harding, 29th President of the United States. Glass has gold rim, ornate gold engravings and initial “H” engraved, blending in with the design. Circular bottom has polished design with gold trim. Though Harding was President during prohibition, he was famously known to consume and serve alcohol at the White House. Comes with illustrated article on Harding stemware. Near fine condition. Sold for $653.

Warren G. Harding Signed 9.25” x 12.75” Photo

Warren G. Harding photo signed. Bust portrait photo of Harding looking serious and somewhat stern bears Harding’s autograph inscription to the border at the bottom, reading in full, “To Judge Harvey C. Smith / with cordial extensions of both personal / and political regards. Sincerely / WG Harding”. Matte photo bears the blind stamp of photographer Edmonston, Washington at bottom center. Measures 9.5″ x 12.75″. Toning, light wear, and fading and slight smudging to signature and to the judge’s name. Overall very good.  Sold for $625.
