Here is a 1916 Boston Red Sox program we have sold in the past:
1916 Boston Red Sox Program — Babe Ruth Pitching
The 1916 Boston Red Sox season was the 16th season in the franchise’s Major League Baseball history. The Red Sox finished first in the American League (AL) with a record of 91 wins and 63 losses. The team then faced the National League (NL) champion Brooklyn Robins in the 1916 World Series, which the Red Sox won in five games to capture the franchise’s second consecutive and fourth overall World Series. While the Red Sox’ home field was Fenway Park, their final two regular season games—a doubleheader against the Philadelphia Athletics—and their three home games of the World Series were played at Braves Field, due to its larger seating capacity.
Boston Red Sox baseball program for a 20 May 1916 game with Babe Ruth pitching against the St. Louis Browns at Fenway Park. Ruth was the winning pitcher, as the Red Sox beat the Browns 3 to 1 and went on to win the World Series that year. Ruth won 23 games in 1916 and had a league leading 1.75 ERA and nine shutouts. 7″ x 11″ 4-page card style program is neatly scored in pencil inside. Light toning and folds; very good condition. Sold for $789.
