Patsy Cline Handwritten Letter Signed re Her Concerts
Patsy Cline (born Virginia Patterson Hensley; September 8, 1932 – March 5, 1963) was an American singer. She is considered one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music artists to successfully cross over into pop music. Cline had several major hits during her eight-year recording career, including two number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Country and Western Sides chart.
Autograph postcard signed by country legend Patsy Cline, sent to a friend from the Mint Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on 15 December 1962. Postcard features colorful illustration of the iconic hotel to front and reads in full; “Howdy: Well this is the mint I’m working in kid. It’s not the swingingest one out here, but is the same as the Stardust so that aint bad. I’m almost dead. I’ve been sick ever since I’ve been here. Had to send the kids back to Va cause they stayed sick. Charlie’s been winning so far? I’ve been getting real good crowds & have pictures to show you. I can’t wait to get home.” The iconic country singer signs “Love, Patsy” to the bottom of the 5.5″ x 3.5″ postcard. Slight wear and uniform toning, otherwise near fine. Sold for $1,007.
