Mario Andretti Signed Helmet Worn at 2015 Indy 500

Racing helmet worn by legendary driver Mario Andretti at the 2015 Indy 500. Hall of Famer Andretti has 109 career wins and is the only driver to win the Indy 500, Daytona 500 and Formula One World Championship. Andretti is also the only driver to be named United States Driver of the Year in 3 separate decades (winning in 1967, 1978 and 1984). Bell brand helmet features various decals for Honda and Andretti’s name in cursive on the left and right side. Autograph appears in blue marker on top left portion above eye visor. Interior of helmet contains thick black soft foam cushioning with yellow chin strap. Size unknown, helmet opening measures 11″ x 9″ (excluding foam). Helmet was worn during preliminary laps at 2015 Indy 500, in addition to other 2015 IndyCar races. Weighs 3 lbs. 2 oz. Comes with official Bell Helmets carrying case labeled “MARIO ’15”. Includes COA from PSA/DNA and LOA from the Graham Rahal Foundation to benefit the Justin Wilson’s Children Fund. Very minor nicks and scratches, otherwise near fine condition. Sold for $2,205.
