Presidential Dinner Plate Used Aboard Air Force One

Attractive gilt-rimmed dinner plate used aboard Air Force One, in the style of china used during the Kennedy through Nixon administrations. Large plate shows the Great Seal in gilt at top, encircled by “Seal of the President of the United States”. This particular plate was used on Air Force One during the Nixon administration, originally from the estate of the Chief Chef of AF1, who worked for the Lyndon B. Johnson through George H. Bush presidencies. With “Franciscan Masterpiece China” mark on underside, plate measures 10.625″ in diameter. Near fine condition. Sold for $1,200.
