There’s nothing weak about it – which is why the insurance companies are fighting it so hard. So don’t lose faith so quickly – no change happens overnight, but it is happening! Barack Obama”. Barack Obama autograph letter signed as President. Upon pale mint green White House stationery, Obama writes in full, ”Laura – / I read your letter and understand your frustration. One of the things I’m focused on is bringing back manufacturing to America. We’ve already seen the highest growth in that sector in 20 years, and we are going to keep pushing it. We’re also hoping to provide more resources to community colleges so mid-life, high-skill workers like your husband can get quick training for jobs that businesses are hiring for right now. I know that this doesn’t help your husband’s immediate need for a job, but I wanted you to know that your president hears you and is fighting for you every day. Barack Obama”. 2pp. letter on a single 6.5” x 4.25” card is in fine condition. With the original White House envelope.  Sold for $8,908.

Barack Obama Autograph on His Fifth Grade Punahou School in Hawaii Yearbook from 1971-2 — Signed “Barry Obama” — Perhaps The Earliest Known Barack Obama Autograph

Very rare and charming 5th grade yearbook with a President Obama autograph, or, as he called himself then, “Barry Obama.” Yearbook for the Punahou school in Hawaii for the 1971-72 school year features Obama both in the 5th grade choir as well as in “Mrs. Hefty’s” class where he and three other students carry “On Strike” and “Boys Liberation” signs to get out of homework. Surprisingly, little Barry didn’t yet take part in either organized basketball or student council. He signs on the last page in blue ink, “Barry Obama” along with his other classmates. Curiously, he is the only one, out of dozens of students, to underline his name. Yearbook is in exceptionally well-preserved condition. Binding is strong and pages are clean, except where students sign their names. A fantastic, rare piece of Presidential history. Sold for $6,555.
