Rare photograph signed by silent movie star Charlie Chaplin. Iconic and beloved actor signs ”Faithfully / Charlie Chaplin” to image of himself as the memorable Tramp. Black and white photograph measures 5” x 7”. Light toning and creasing, not affecting signature, which remains bold. Very good plus condition. With JSA COA. Sold for $3,125.

Charlie Chaplin “Easy Street” 1917 Movie Poster

Official movie poster from the comedic short film “Easy Street” originally released in 1917. This poster, issued sometime in the 1920’s, was for a “New Edition Deluxe” re-release of the film. Poster, with an orange background, measures 27″ x 40″ and is very delicate from folding, with a 7″ and 5″ tear at top, as well as small chips along edges of the poster. “Saturday April 11” is written by hand in pencil along the bottom of poster and there is an official “Easy Street” stamp on verso. In very good condition. Sold for $1,903.

Charlie Chaplin Autograph & Self-Portrait Sketch of Himself as The Tramp — Also Signed by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Leslie Howard & More

Autograph book containing the autograph of Charlie Chaplin, who also draws a whimsical self-portrait of himself as The Tramp. Chaplin writes next to the caricature in black fountain pen, “To Peter / Lots of love / Charlie Chaplin”. Autograph book includes several more signatures by Golden Age Hollywood actors, including Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and his wife, as well as Leslie Howard, who writes in pencil, “To Peter / with lots of good luck / Leslie Howard”. Autographs were obtained in the early 1940s, with book belonging to a man named Peter Gifford. Album measures 5.675″ x 3.75″. Vertical crease to front cover of book, pages remain in very good to near fine condition. Sold for $1,031.

Charlie Chaplin Signed Autobiography to His Friend, the Photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt

Charlie Chaplin signed copy of ”My Autobiography”, inscribed to famed photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt. London: The Bodley Head, 1964 third impression of the first edition. Upon the dedication page Chaplin addresses Eisenstaedt by ”Eizie”, slightly misspelling his nickname Eisie: ”To Eizie – Hoping you will enjoy this book / Charlie Chaplin / Feb 1966”. Measures 5.75” x 8.75”. Housed in original unclipped dust jacket, which has a small amount of chipping, overall very good condition. Book is slightly cocked with separation starting at front joint, also in very good condition. From Alfred Eisenstaedt’s estate. Sold for $750.

Charlie Chaplin Signed Bank Card

Charlie Chaplin signed bank card, boldly signed ”Chas Chaplin” in blue fountain pen. Card is for a ”special savings account” for the Bank of Italy, Los Angeles branch, with ”Movies” listed as Chaplin’s occupation. Card is likely from the time of Chaplin’s extraordinary financial success, when he was one of the highest paid people in the world. Card measures 5” x 3”. Light overall wear and toning, very good condition. Sold for $481.

Charlie Chaplin Signature

Charlie Chaplin signature on a slip cut from a typed letter. Type reads, ”Thanking you for your interest and support to my screen efforts. I am Very Sincerely Yours,” signed beneath in black ink, ”Charlie Chaplin”. Slip measures 5.25” x 1.75”. Toning to edges and tape residue to verso. Very good condition. Sold for $375.

”Uncivil Warriors” One-Sheet Movie Poster From 1935, Owned by Moe Howard

Very rare one-sheet movie poster for ”Uncivil Warriors”, one of the earliest and most beloved Three Stooges films, released in 1935. One-sheets from the 1930s are exceedingly rare, with this poster all the more special as owned by Moe Howard. Linen-backed poster measures 27” x 41”. Mild restoration at folds. Colors remain bright, with strong visual appeal, in near fine condition. Sold for $37,500.
